Thought i would post here to get an idea of value of some of the peices within my collection.

I am doing this as i need to decide how much insurance to take out as i want my collection covered by a specialist insurance company. I have now found the one i want to use but need this before i can sort out the cover.

I will post a few items at a time and when i think the valuation is correct i will update the list with some new items. I think this could take a whilw so here goes with some of the MOC items:

12 back A - chewbacca
12 back B - chewbacca
12 back C - chewbacca
12 back D - chewbacca

Thanks
Steve

Can you use Gus & Duncan's book? It doesn't list the cardback letters so that may throw the prices out. (12 Back Chewbacca 150-250) But it has 20 back Snaggletooth at the same price and I/we know someone that will pay $1000++ for an offerless one!

Unfortunately i dont have that book although i am considering getting it.

But i have to say i dont look at price guides much as it really is dependant on the current market. That is why i like to use this forum and rebelscum.

That way i will hopefully get a true reflection on the current market value.

I thought you wanted insurance value so the highest price you can prove was the idea? You're right price guides are no indication of current market value. You are going to have fun going through your entire collection :)

Dont i know it.

Luckily a lot of the stuff i have bought in the last few years and i am going to go back thorugh some old paypal info and see what i can find.

I guess i want to have a true value of the collection so that it is covered but not under or over priced.

Some of the lesser value items i will be able to judge for myself but wanted my MOC's and other high value items assessed by my fellow collectors.

I would not use Gus and Duncans Book as a price guide James! It is best used as a reference only !That is if you can see the teeny wheeny pics  !
