I noticed these a while ago and was going to wait a little longer but as they've now been mentioned elsewhere I feel it's safe enough -

I know the unused sticker sheet is rare but there isn't even a box and paying 1K for some stickers?!

Things just seem to be out of hand to me and I'm sure there will end up being some depressed people out there in years to come when they try to sell some of this stuff back on. Don't even get me started on the droid factory either!!

I've seen these as well Ian - mental stuff, utterly mad.

I thought I was a bit crazy earlier this year when I bought that mint boxed Palitoy LOTJ for £300 - that seems like bargain of the year compared to these auctions now. I just don't see the mad value in the Cantina auction - at all.

The Droid Factory - I'm stumped on that one too - madness. I bought a mint boxed UNUSED one for £300 not 8 months ago - and that was with the rarer yellow base. I have no idea why these particular items are suddenly going for these ridiculous amounts.

And don't talk to me about Helix stuff either...

I'm not seeing the Droid Factory one. IS it the third link? That one tells me it's a private listing and is directing me to a loose brown snake Yoda that sold for 122GBP, which is also nuts.

Regarding the Cantina and LOTJ, I can say the bases on both are vastly different than what we got over this side of the pond from Kenner. If your buyers are from North America, this could explain those stupid prices. I've wanted both of those for some time (along with a Palitoy X-Wing), and they virtually NEVER come up for sale on the US or Canadian ebay sites...

That second listing for the LOTJ was Marc's (aka Star Wares on here) and he had that listed on a couple of FB groups for a week or so at £75 and nobody bought it!

Just posted up the droid factory as the 4th link, I didn't post it earlier as it had only just ended but feel it's safe as no one in their right mind's going to offer the seller more.

The Yoda I intentionally posted up as it also seems like a crazy price to me

I too was shocked at the final price for the pali cantina with no box

i can see where the excitment lay in the spare parts as trying to find the unused door tags is in the same league as the death star sticker sheet

I do understand what you mean about the unused door tags but it's the fact that it's now got to the point where people think 1K for this is acceptable, things have got way out of hand if this is the market now unfortunately.

I work as a financial trader - Trust me, I've seen it time and time again, all good things come to an end and the prices will drop... Gold at the moment is at its lowest for 6 years, last Friday the dollar crushed the euro and then the euro hit it's lowest point on record. So the people that are thinking they've made a good investment, well, they're wrong!

I don't know what's more ridiculous, his prices or the postage he wants!

Crazy stuff and what's going on with that Yoda? £122, that's insane, you can get him on a 32 back for another £50.

And it continues -

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-STAR-WARS-1977-PALITOY-LAND-OF-THE-JAWAS-PLAYSET-COMPLETE-EXCELLENT-/151885723680?hash=item235d183820%3Ag%3AHeQAAOSwIwhWSM4c&nma=true&si=jaatQ2nhXzMsuqoN850ZuhNQctE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

At least this one is complete and in good shape although no box with it. These prices don't seem to be letting up for these Palitoy play sets of late, obviously a lot of love out there for them (can't really lay any blame there though :D ).
