http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Star-Wars-Vintage-RARE-1983-UNPAINTED-CHIEF-CHIRPA-/302397234356?hash=item4668479cb4:g:w-oAAOSwJ3VZe3JT

I've not seen one of these before, is it for real?

this seller has plenty of stock but lots of repro weapons going on so I doubt they are a member on here

Either a spray ops error or he's been in a bleachy bath. Inclined to think the latter as would be pretty uncommon to have 2 distinct areas missed.

Imo someone rubbed all the paint off. I have seen beater chirpa's with a lot of paint rub it wouldnt take much to get the rest off.

Plain old British Dettol is a good paint remover to without being harsh on plastic. I use it for removing paint from old minis, etc.

Definitely been rubbed of in my opinion, I've seen examples like that at toy fairs. Not as bad perhaps, but still.
