The story behind these promo images is that after I went to see ROTJ in 1983, I wrote to my local movie theater to ask if they had any promo images or posters they could give me. After the movie's run, the cinema manager came to my house and gave me all their promo material. I can remember these being stuck to the doors of our local cinema back in 1983 and now they could be yours!

They're in good condition considering they're 33 years old.

Please note: 'Gamorrean Guard' is spelt wrong in these promo images yet they still have the 20th Century/Lucasfilm Copyright.

I'm also selling some original large lobby photo character cards. these were hanging from the ceiling of the cinema back in 1983. They're not in fantastic condition, each measures 51cm x 40.5cm so they're bigger than the normal lobby cards. 100% genuine advertising material from 1983. Sorry about the condition, I had no respect for these when I was a kid!

Ebay auction here:

So what price did you except in the end? If you would have left it up you may well have made quite a bit more as there would have been a lot of interest

Agreed. I was very interested in these and watching with a mind to bid. Rarer items like these are often best left to open bids to achieve the best price.
