To start with is this the right forum to talk about
Lego Star Wars please??

Here's the thing I have brought about 3 brand new star
Wars lego sets including the jabba sail barge. Which looks cool!
I was planning to keep these Mib , but now keep thinking
About building them and maybe put them on display?
Has anybody been in the same situation please
As I no the value will be better for me to keep these as they are
But they look too awesome to just sit there locked up!?
Thanks guys
Shaun

I got a tantive four for Xmas and it was quickly taken out and built. I've had far more enjoyment from building it then I ever would if it was kept in the box!

Hey Shaun.

It depends if you want to keep them as an investment or enjoy them for what they are. Apart from the last sets I bought, I opened and built all my big collector series sets. Because they are so big they look fooking amazing. I understand where you are coming for as the sail barge set is a great set and knowing what you paid for it, it doesn't surprise me your not sure whether to open it or not.

If it was me, I would open it and display it if you have the room. Only reason I didn't open the latter sets I bought was no room.

If it was me I would build them and display them, just built the Xwing and Tie Fighter for my son, great sets...

I have a Landspeeder set waiting to be displayed, there was no way I could leave it MSIB, it had to be built :D

Cheers guys!
Yea it's looking like I will build them as they are just too
Cool just to sit there gathering dust!
May regret my sail barge in the future tho as it cost me a bit.
But what I'm doing is when I get a few pounds to spend I go out and
Buy other sets.
Got my eye on the Death Star set but will have to save first!
Maybe get a couple of little sets for time being! :D

IMO Lego is for building and displaying, I bought the Death Star and would never dream of leaving it in the box, I wanted to display it and enjoy it for the amount of money I paid.

Yes I have devalued it, but I don't care, I am much happier looking at it in the flesh than in a box

Some of those older SW Lego sets go for quite a bit, my son wanted the Lego MTT for Christmas (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEGO-7662-Star-Wars-Trade-Federation-MTT-1326-pcs-20-droids-2007-release-Ages-9-/321042444749?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item4abf9ef1cd)

He got a Nintendo 3DS XL instead

I can see why you would want to keep it MISB, once you have built it save up buy another one and stash it somewhere safe and hope they discntinue the line
