Talk about modern (post 1985) Hasbro toys, including POTF2.

Good UK toy line stockists?

Postby Palifan » Tue Feb 27, 2018 5:23 am

Hi all,

I'm making the move back to the UK after years out in the States and I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for picking up modern toys once I'm back?

I know Forbidden Planet is pretty good generally but I'm after toys released by Super7 (the reaction figures), and also the 1/12 scale Mezco toys (around 6"). If anyone out there knows any good places to find these online or in store that's UK based then please let me know as it might be a better way to go than getting everything from the US sent over.

Hopefully I'm not the only person here picking up these things.

Try www.staractionfigures.co.uk as a good stockist of mainly Star Wars and other tv related toys.

Not come across any U.K. seller with the Super 7 line, apart from Forbidden planet.

No worries, Ian. I'm waiting patiently for the new wave of Kenner style Alien figures to arrive in April and hoping these guys get them in sharpish.

Oh yes I've seen those are coming, I've got all the others and play sets (black and blue), so will probably pick these new ones up as well. The POTA ones I'm pretty excited about as well as the new Universal ones. They have lots of great things coming this year so if should be good.

This seems to be one of the only places you can get the Mezco 1:12 figures as well which is good to see :D

Thanks for the heads up.

Definitely getting the Planet Of The Apes figures too. I don't do modern...unless they look like Kenner 80s style 3.75". :D

Hi Ian,

'The Entertainer' in Burton Upon Trent certainly used to be very good. I haven't used them for a few years as I no longer buy much modern, but they might still be worth investigating:

Sorry for the delayed reply, but I only saw your post today :-)

Thanks for that Jeremy, I think there's still an entertainer in Bristol so hopefully I'll have some luck in there for a few things.

Appreciate it!
