Ive seen a few carded figure ads of late that really emphasise the fact they are selling an unpunched card. I wondered what your perspective is on this? Does it increase the value to you? I personally like to see the punch- I think it adds to the character of the piece.

So.... Punched or unpunched?!

Didn't bother me too much. It was always nice if it had the punch, but if not it was no big deal.

Is always try to go for unpunched but ultimately it didn't bother ne too much. I think around 80% of my carded collection was unpunched.

I'd prefer unpunched to punched but it is not always a deal breaker with me either.

I say not always....

I did insist that my set of the first 20 Palitoy were all unpunched. This is not as anal as it may sound. When I bought them, every single one was unpunched and that was completely by coincidence. All except the jawa. I had two, both of which were punched. It really did stick out for me so spent years trying to find a good enough unpunched one.

At one point I sold both the sealed ones and got a reseal (though it was very very good!!) which was unpunched and had that on display. In fact that was the one on display at CE in the Palitoy archive.

It wasn't until 2008 that I finally got a sealed unpunched one!! Took me 7 years :?

Perhaps that sounded wrong! I like both! but if I had the choice to choose. E.g if I was offered the Same MOC Punched and Unpunched i would chose the latter :)

It doesn't matter to me really. If I saw a moc I wanted and it was punched, it wouldn't put me off. Unpunched look better but I guess it's a personal choice.

Sorry Guys! I know what I mean! What I am trying to say is if I was offered the Same MOC both unpunched and punched I would go for the unpunched example. Does that make sense now! :? I think I have cnfused myself now too   Dont worry just wanna of those "You idot" moments!

Clear as crystal now m8, glad I am not the only blonde on here  that's what I thought you meant with your first post then I though you meant the other way round when you corrected yourself, so back to the start, looks like most of are loving the unpunched look then guys, bloody good question 2 Ed

No real preference, can see the arguement for both sides, agree that punched adds character and unpunched looks nice displayed aswell.......not one to sit on the fence me.... :D

I couldn't tell you which of my mocs is punched or unpunched. It's never something i've considered when buying an moc. If i had to choose i'd chose unpunched as it is often a mintier example of what you're looking for but it doesn't bother me enough one way or the other. I really don't think it adds any significant value to a piece either, if any.
