Hello

My husband is a massive Star Wars fan, and I would love to buy him a Stormtrooper Replica Helmet for Xmas (authentic), but, have no
idea where to buy from.

I have had a look online and found a company 'Shepperton Design" at around £250-£500. Would you recommend this company ?

Can you recommend any other companies also.

Many thanks in advance.

I don't think there is much love for them on here from a few members as the claims on the site are misleading.

Are you on facebook? If so I would recommend a group called 'The Cargo Hold' as a lot of members there have them.

There will of course be people on here that can help you out.

Cool present idea btw!

I wouldn't give that Shepperton Studios the time of day let alone hard earned cash. The bloke is a liar and takes credit for other people's work... and as for using the original moulds... this is rubbish too.

Your best bet is RS Props. They use direct linkage from a screen used helmet so you can't find better.. however.. if you're wanting one for Christmas you might have left it a bit late. Worth a try though.

If you're looking for one that is a bit more a fun costume than a serious replica, then at £74.99 with 'voice changer' this is a good value buy...

Thank you so much for your input, I will look into 'The Cargo Hold' on facebook,
and I'll also look at RS Props.

Thank you again.

Master Replicas did a really good version:

I had one of these on display and it really looks awesome. If you shop around you might get one cheaper.

The Anovos ones are very good, but you will need to find one stocked in the UK as their direct shipping can take months!

Welcome to the forum!

I would steer clear of Shepperton Design Studios, long story but ethics play a big part in why to avoid.

I have recently purchased a helmet from RS Props, their Stormtrooper helmet is cast directly from a helmet used in A New Hope. The only issue you might have is time! I would imagine a ready made completed helmet will be loonger than the few weeks left before christmas.

Alternative is the recently released Black Series Helemt from Hasbro, think this is available in Toys R Us, Amazon etc....

Hope this helps

RS Props. Nuff said.

Also, Hasbro are bringing out a Black Series full size Stormtrooper helmet shortly for around £100. They're pretty decent value and will rocket in price once they've been discontinued. Keep in mind though that it will be a symmetrical helmet. If you want an authentic one with the lumps and bumps, then as fore mentioned, go with RS Props.
There was a guy around about two years ago that went by the name of Mac Props that produced helmets. I bought a couple from him and I was most pleased. Decent price too. I think he was getting a bit of flack from the anal community and wrapped.

Here's the Black Series helmet. Grab one while you can.
