Regarding values , was just wondering why some items are worth more than others ? E.g. Why is R2 Pop up lightsaber worth so much more than Anakin ? Presumably similar numbers were made so they're not exactly rare.

A few things go into it:

1. Popularity of the item
2. Perceived rarity
3. Actual rarity
4. Availability for you to purchase
5. Competition from others

These variables can change over time too - the market is a living thing!

Cheers, Jared.

Why are some items worth more than others? That's the big question isn't it. A pop up R2 is worth a lot more than an Anakin because it has a huge sticker round it that deteriorates with play, Anakin doesn't. It has an accessory that gets lost, Anakin doesn't. And it is a more popular character and more sought after figure. Mostly popularity I think. It seems some items are more consistent and predictable in their value and others can vary wildly which can be seen on Star Wars tracker. Searching for completed listings on ebay for a particular figure or item can be interesting and with surprising results.

Don't forget Anakin was also widely distributed as a mailer offer in the US, so their likely were significantly higher population numbers over Pop Up R2.
