Latest Acquisitions

Some brilliant SW porn on these pages recently. Particularly the Pali Die-casts, Spoons. If you look at that picture and say '1979' three times, you get teleported back there.

Ha ha - that would be great!

I had £50-ish of Nektar points patiently waiting on a desirable MOC coming on eBay for that price. I just got this today - for £50 to the penny!

It's a compendium, really nice with pics and info.

Nice!

Some cracking pieces from the rest of you guys too.

Another happy day for me, this slightly tatty Pal X Wing means I've finished my Palitoy die cast run. Another long term collecting aim completed - not sure what to go for next :)

Congrats spoons on the set of star wars die-cast , have 4 palitoy factory sealed myself , would like to add the white imperial tie some day?

Sweet die cast. That's the only thing I have from my original 77 collection. Mine is a little worse for wear though !!!

So pleased with my latest addition, a beautiful loose Leia.
Bought from Michael Sith, a top man.

Here's a couple of new acquisitions, both used to promote the original Star Wars in UK cinemas. The first is a promo 7" single produced by Pye Records, it's got the main title theme on both sides. There's a different voice over on both sides - A Side- "You're listening to the main theme music from Star Wars, the original soundtrack recording is available on a superb double album and tape from Twentieth Century Records. Star Wars is coming to this Cinema soon"; B side- "You're listening to the main theme music from Star Wars, the original soundtrack recording is available as a superb double album and tape from Twentieth Century Records. Star Wars is coming to your local Odeon or other Rank Organisation Cinema soon".

The other item is the UK publicity kit with information about the movie, the tie-in products that were available, advertising options, and suggestions for ways to promote the cinema release locally. There's some fascinating info in there. Quad poster for 44p, anyone?

More blinding stuff. £50 for the AT-ST Driver is a proper touch.

Those trilogos are very nice. Is that a cat pen drawing on the Chewie?

Interceptor is a beauty.

A rare and unexpected entry for me. I'm in the process of selling my MOCs off, but I couldn't resist this chap. I love the 45a cardback and this guy was a bit of a bargain. He's graded 85 which means nowt to me but nice to have. I've got a real soft spot for the Imp Commander. Underrated bad guy all round.

This trio are a mixed bag. Bought from a non collector on a direct deal basis I they cost £50 each. Overall I'm happy but it's a win, draw and loss all in one, I think.

Stormie is my fave and only has very light litho damage:

R2 is a draw. Undisclosed badly cracked bubble but a beauty, still:

And wicket a small loss as the litho damage too right (caused by an idiot and massively excessive use of solvent to remove a prIce sticker which has faded the litho:

Still, not bad deal overall.

I have said it before and will say it again, best thread by far and my 1st go to everyday. From Trilogos, loose figs right down to cardbacks with cats drawn on them
Always good to get mail and yesterday was a great one. A huge shout out to Carl ( lejackal ) who has been gathering bits for me in the UK so I could save on postage for the trip down under. Not only has he been doing me a huge favour he went and tossed in a pop up book for nothing without my knowing, one that I had as a child and has now brought back so many good memories. Thanks again Carl

A peach. Are you sure you aren't starting an ESB run. What with this and my Vader you were after.
