Hello,

I have been going through my old things in the loft and stumbled across this little lot. Everything is loose but the large items are either complete or close to it. The figures are mostly incomplete but in good condition. I was wondering how much my collection would be worth if you could advise please?

Many thanks!!

Great collection. They do look in generally good condition.
As a bulk lot, would a guesstimate of £250-300 be fair?

I'd wait for someone more experienced than myself to chime in though.

One thing, as seems rule of thumb, don't rush into selling them. Not only to get a fair price, but make sure you have no emotional attachment to them.
One they're gone, they're gone.

Nice little collection you have there. Now if you were prepared to sell the items individually on eBay and had the time to take some decent photos you might expect to get the following:

General Madine = £3
Dengar = £7
Nien Nunb = £2
Yoda = £6
Admiral Ackbar = £2
Anakin = £14
Lobot = £3
Chewbacca = £5
Logray = £2
Paploo = £15
Teebo = £2
Lumat = £10
Lando = £8
Leia Boushh = £15
Leia Boushh = £3
Han Hoth = £5
Rebel Soldier = £4
Luke Farmboy = £30
Obi Wan = £15
Han Solo = £7
Luke Jedi = £6
Luke Jedi = £3
Bespin Guard = £4
R2D2 = £20
ERG = £4 each
Darth Vader = £12
Emperor = £2
Boba Fett = £25
TFP = £5
At At Driver = £5
Snowtrooper = £7
Stormtrooper = £7 each
Biker Scout = £7
Fx-7 = £4

Falcon (incomplete) = £30 - £50
Scout Walker (missing top gun) = £15 - £25
Rebel Transport a Vehicle = £15 - £20
Star Destroyer = £20 - £35
Imperial Attack Base = £35 - £50
Wampa = £10 - £20
Taun Taun (incomplete) = £5
Mini Rigs = £3 - £8 each if complete

That's above £250 for the figures alone. But it assumes that the figures are in very good condition with tight limbs and minimal paint loss. BIN guarantees price but takes time to sell. And of course it's a lottery when you list them at auction, you could be lucky you might not.

Of your vehicles the Imperial Attack Base is the most valuable if it is in good complete condition (I think it is but it's hard to tell 100% from the photos). The Falcon falls down because it is missing the most valuable elements. Even so you could be looking at £175 for those sum total. But you have to remember eBay takes 10 % and PayPal 3.5% and it's a hassle selling it all individually.

Selling it as a package on there I'd be surprised if it didn't make £300.

Selling on the forum I'm happy to bow down to other people's expertise. They're a much nicer bunch and you'd be guaranteeing it goes to a home where it'll be loved.

Don't sell it all for any less than £400, Boba Fett is worth at least £50 on his own! :shock: You have 30 figures that's probably £300 for just them.

Thank you all for your replies, is much appreciated! I've had an offer on the Falcon and Rebel troop carrier already but I'm not rushing into anything until I know exactly what I have and what it's worth. It is time to sell but these are my childhood toys so I want to do them justice and make sure they go to a good home.
Out of interest.....why would you value Bobba at £50? Is it purely because I have the blaster? I've seen the new guide that's been posted too which shows some of the loose prices to be higher than what you have suggested, and I guess these don't include the ones which have weapons and accessories? The photos I've uploaded are pretty high res but would it be worth putting individual photos of the figures up so people can get a better look of would that be a waste of time? Thanks again!!

Ok perhaps I'm going a bit high on Boba Fett, but some do go for that price. Good luck if you do sell it all, but don't rush into selling as it's your childhood collection, once you have sold it that's it. Many collectors on here will tell you how they regret selling their childhood collection.

I recommend selling on here rather than eBay.
First off, you're contributing to the community and it's good for the hobby to let it go to serious collectors.
EBay has fees and will cost you.
I'm not saying there aren't serious collectors on ebay, but there are the occasional reports of scams where a buyer claims weapon is fake to get a refund.
You may or may not achieve a higher price on eBay, but again, remember the fees.
I think on here you know where you stand.

Yes, it is worth taking the best photos possible, close-ups front and back. And many photos with vehicles.

Don't rush, do some searches on eBay and get a clear idea of what stuff sells for.
My input on Boba is around £25 with weapon.

The weapon or accessory is often the item that is lost in childhood collections so they tend to be scarcer than the figures. If you have an original you will find the value increases greatly. For example your General Madine would be worth £10-£13 instead of £3-£4. Some weapons are worth in excess of £50 alone like the Blue black Princess Blaster, Black Palace Blaster and Black Endor Blaster.

Your Boba Fett looks in pretty good condition. If he has tight limbs and head as well as mint paintwork he could be worth £30 - £50 depending on whether he has a Hong Kong or Taiwan Coo. But for the most part they sell at around £20 - £30.

Take your time and if you do decide to sell provide as many photos and as detailed a description as possible to get the most money for your collection. Good luck and May the force be with you... sorry :lol:

Thanks again for all your help guys!

I've taken your advice and I'm uploading decent front and back shots of each figure with the COO and codes/dates. Unfortunately it only allows me to upload them in small amounts so bare with me!

I also have a couple of loose weapons and a question about Dengar's rifle. From my research online I believe that Dengar's rifle is identical to the Snow troopers? Are you aware of any differences or variations? Only I have two of them that have been seen in the photos with the relevant characters. But one of them is different from the other when you look closely and I can't find one like this anywhere online? I've added a couple of close up side by side photos below which appear the same on first glance but they are quite different.
- the end is missing on one.
- there are 3 indentations on the barrel on one and 4 on the other.
- the magazines are thicker on one.
- the trigger is a slightly different shape.
- some of the detailing on the body and sight are subtly different.
- the end of the butt is more sharply shaped on one and rounded on the other.

Just wanted to pick your brains was all? And before anyone suggests it........they were both purchased in the 70's and 80's by me as a child so both are authentic!!

P.s when I was typing Vader on here my iPhone autocorrect changed it to Father!! Good job they weren't around in 1980!!!!!

Cheers folks!!

I don't think the last spear is from Star Wars. Wicket and Romba have spears but they're different.
The axe is from Gamorrean Guard.
I'm not sure about the rifles, other than who you say they belong to.

Your figures look mostly in very good condition.
