You hit the nail on the head Weasel a 6 year old won't see the glaring holes in the plot and that is why we ignore the plot holes in the origional trilogy. BECAUSE STAR WARS IS A CHIlDRENS FRANCHISE.

Yeah, this is true. I guess when I watch a SW film now I am watching it now through kids eyes, albeit with the added cynicism that ehhh 30 odd years adds. As it's aimed at kids they will probably like it, but even at that, I'm not sure it has enough real action or "ohhh look at that weird alien" bits. Maybe I'm just being harsh.

Like Liverpool's title hopes in the last 20 Year's we need to be realistic with expectations.

Liverpool HAD title hopes!?

As for the glory hunting Man Utd comment, give me a break.

I knew you'd bite there, I couldn't resist!

Ps.....

But Disney can't make a Star Wars film for a bunch of 35 to 50 year olds who grew up masterbating over Princess Leia in a bikini!

Leia in a bikini? Really!? It was the Rancor keeper who did it for me!

Anyone who knows me well, always gets a bite from that Man Utd comment. Can't help myself the injustice is comparable to Nelsan Mandella's incarceration!

Another thing Weasel you said you disagree with everything I said, does that mean you like the first half hour? I'm going to see it again but as soon as it starts I'm nipping out for a coffee and toilet break for 20 minutes.

Think they would be better off making Star Wars porn for our generation, Jabba the slutt, Star Hors, return of the japseye.

Ehh, TBH the whole thing blurs into one mediocre meh for me.

My memory of the first half hour is (this is the spoiler free thread) that it's the bit where thingy does that thing and what-do-ya-call-them do that other thing and then whatshisface has that scene? Yeah?

Finally got to see it yesterday (friday) due to work as home commitments.

I really enjoyed it. It has not followed a format you would have expected and for that I thank them. Don't expect a rehash of an existing Star Wars film, as you won't get it. Go with an open mind or else you will be another person disappointed because two years of theorising what was going to happen in this film got flushed down the toilet.

I can't wait to see what they do with the last film.

I'm not going to describe the spoilers and add to the problem, if you don't think their is a problem then fine. All I know is I wouldn't want to read that review if I had not already watched the film. :)

I've got no problem with the review what so ever, just it's in the wrong thread.

To my surprise I really enjoyed it. Better than TFA and R1 in my opinion.
