Serious?.. iv'e been on the fence about whether or not do try it out, iv'e been kind of proud though of the fact i'm the only one on the planet that's never watched it.

I may have to reconsider. :?

I watched the first two episodes of the first series. I was bored shitless. It's like a soft core porno with fantastic production values. But if I want porn, there are better places to look (apparently) and the plot was just dull. The missus loved it though. She watched all of the series.

I also gave up on the Walking Dead after 3 or 4 series. I just got bored when the govenor came in. I was sat there waiting for something to happen and yet it was just episode after episode of monotony. Maybe it was all 'character development' but i diubt it. I still have about 80 episodes on sky plus, not sure i'll ever get round to watching them though.

Now that's made me think twice about watching it, don't think i'll bother then, pornhub vids probably even has better stories too.

The only two series iv'e ever got into was Smallville which was ****ing amazing in the last 2 or 3 series, until the very disappointing last series which was a bit boring and a real letdown but I had to watch it all because I was already invested and had to finish off 10 years of watching the damn thing. And my favourite series of all time is without a doubt Breaking Bad, the only series iv'e ever watched where I loved every episode from beginning to end, and also the only series iv'e seen twice.

Wow... I love how we all have such differing tastes and opinions on things that (as geeks) you may expect us all to like.

I thought Smallville was really poor viewing, actually can't think of a redeeming pert of it at all, I have to admit that comment is based on teh first series, which I forced myself to finish through as it was so painful.

Breaking Bad was decent (but massively overrated) until the final series which to this day I regret watching as a) it made no sense, b) was totally made to exploit the audience and c) was the worst acted of the lot. I have though watched it all twice, once on my own and once with the wife. She (thankfully) was in agreement!

Now, Game of Thrones on the other hand (for me at least) was utter crap for the first 3-4 episodes (but I was warned to push through), I did exactly that and I'm so glad I did, because then it got good, by series three it gets into my top five TV shows ever and just keeps getting better and better. I will caveat that the last series we have had did have 1.5 very weak episodes, but to drop that, out of what, seven series I think is some achievement in itself. Again I have watched all episodes through twice.

Walking Dead is decent, but not great TV. The last series though I just stopped watching after 2 episodes. I have been advised that I might want to watch the final episode to get back up to speed.. so I might try that.

Best TV ever for me is The West Wing, followed by The Wire. All other TV pails in comparison in my eyes.

Yeah haha that's true, non-geeks from the outside would assume all us Star Wars fans would kind of think the same, but it couldn't be further from the truth. Although Smallville was great toward the last handful of series I do actually think there was no need at all for probably more than half of the 10 series, I liked it from the first series but didn't love it, I only watched it when it happened to be on telly and all the stories were just random. But from about series 8 it got my attention and it was full of secrets and mysteries between Clark and Lex which really got me hooked, you really wanted to know what Lex actually knew about Clark and what he was planning and where it was all building up to, series 10 was a pure let down though and didn't give us any kind of grand epic ending accept for watching Clark fly around for 10 seconds which we all knew he would do eventually anyway.

Yeah with Breaking Bad to be honest I watched the entire 1st series not that impressed, because it seemed a little slow to me and took time for the story and characters to develop, but I still wanted to see where it went to because my bro told me it just keeps getting better, and for me it did and I also loved the last series too, I do admit yes it's not as good as the series before it but it was still good enough for me, my bro also hates the last series and the way it ended.

I still think GOT is maybe something I might try out in future when i'm all out of things to watch and do, it's a big commitment.

Spot on... not seen a single Marvel film that I would say is a good film... Spiderman homecoming is the one in that genre I've found least offensive so far actually and I get the feeling most others are not a fan. That said, because I love Star Wars so much, everyone thinks I'm into comics and Marvel and superheroes... well, I don't read comics, don't care for superheroes and wouldn't ever rush out to watch a Marvel film...

Your missing out- its incredible.

I started last year and watched 6 seasons in 2 weeks. Best 2 weeks of my life.

That's like saying you don't like a book from the first 2 pages. The strength of the show is based on multiple stories and character arcs built over seasons. Its not easy getting into it, but the reward is ultimate television.

I read the series not long after it first came out. Fell in love with it after chapter 3. Had high hopes for the TV show and it hasn't disappointed.
As the TV show has outpaced the books there's little source material to go on so they are effectively creating their own storyline within parameters to meet George's ending.

Although there are moment in GoT then seem prolonged there is often a reason and payoff later.

Weird thing with me is iv'e always been drawn to and liked Marvel and anything superhero since I was a kid, bought a few comics as a kid and loved them but that quickly wore off like a fad when I got a bit older. I do like Marvel films but I wouldn't say i'm actually a fan, but i'm a casual fan of anything Superman and I ****ing love anything Batman, and although i'm a fan in a small way only with a select couple of characters i'd still not rush to watch or buy anything, it always happens as an afterthought.

Man we're all so diverse and different, it's kind of like how I have 3 brothers and we all pretty much have the same kind of genetics and the exact same family upbringing and all have the same kind of personality, so one could assume we'd all be the same, but in reality we couldn't be any more different from each other and all have completely different traits and interests.

Possibly. Though I was very bored during the first two episodes and I really don't have time for TV series. I havent watched any other series. Not seen an episode of breaking bad, west wing etc etc. All I watch on tv is sport and the news. After 2 hours of the high production value soft core porn that was the start of Game of Thrones, I gave up. Some times I'll persevere through something if I know it gets better but Game of thrones just pissed me off. Either be a great fantasy series, and cut the gratuitous nudity (especially the male nudity) or be a very good soft core porn series. You can't be both. I got pissed off and gave up.

Can't see me ever watching it again, I just don't have time. Especially not if i have to force myself to watch 2/3/4/5 episodes waiting for it to get good.
