Hi: I'm offering my collection of Star Wars toys, books, action figures, etc. I've spent countless hours organizing the items and using Ebay's RECENT sold listings as a point of comparison. My desire is to sell it all at once at a price wherein the buyer can either keep it all or re-sell it for a solid profit. I guess I'm trying to say, I am looking for a reasonable buyer.

Here's an example of what I'm willing to do, I am bundling the Boba Fett card, figure and sticker all of which are in very good if not better condition and selling as as a package within the total collection foregoing the opportunity to sell them seperately. I found recent sale prices for all the items and the value I have placed on each item was not the higher or lower selling price but somewhere nearer the middle. Without doing a detail listing of what I have, at this time, but to give you an idea, if you flip a ROTJ back card over, I have all the figure except Paploo. I have a card and figure for 69 (2 stormtroopers) of the collection and a figure only for the following: Anakin Skywalker, Luke with the Endor poncho, Han Solo-Bespin outfit, Greedo, Dengar, Ugnaught, Lobot, Biker scout, B-wing pilot and the Emperor. I would rate each figure to be at least solidly in the very good category with three quaters in the excellent category. This was a very well cared for collection that sat in a box under a bed for the last 30+ years.

Don't worry, the rubber bands are not causing damage and will be removed shortly.

A few other items in this package:

Please reach out to me with questions. I have a 100% rating on eBay where I have been selling/buying for nearly 20 years.

Are you over in the US, the majority of members on here are from the UK and rest of Europe, so cost of shipping and import charges will raise the price considerably on what you are asking for them.

How much are you looking for?
Hi: Not to be cute but I'm looking for a reasonable price. As I stated above, I used the recent middle priced, sold listings as my guide and the entire collection totals in the $3000-$3500 US$ range. I am not looking for this amount. There are examples of lesser collections going for approximately $1500 for the lot which were not as comprehensive as mine. I really spent a considerable amount of time looking at un-certified items in the mid-range selling price and that's how I got to the $3000+ range. If you allow $20US for each figure and card, that put the value at $1500 without allowing for any other items. There will be plenty "meat on the bone" left for a dealer or a tremendous cache for a private collector. I would appreciate any advice you could offer. Thanks, Ren

@retroren looks like a good job lot for someone! Please have a look at the selling rules and post a price ASAP. https://starwarsforum.co.uk/threads...ale-section-rules-and-info-for-sellers.23184/
Hi: I read the seller rules. Thanks for the information. I reside in metro Detroit, MI USA. I purchased the lot from my neighbor of 30 years who actually ran around to the local retails and purchased these items for his then 6 year old son (not to worry, Jonathan was very, very gentle with each figure with the exception of the packaging where excitement got the better of him and judging from what I see on eBay, that was common). As far as pricing I explain my rationale and in a response to member lejackal. And I am flexible on the lot pricing. Ren

Hi: yup, I live in metro Detroit, MI. I respectfully disagree regarding "will raise the price considerably". I would be willing to share 50% of shipping and customs/duty is based on the declared value. Ren

There's a lot of waffle there and no definitive "I would like $$$ or best offer"

Fair enough lejackal. I am trying to engage a serious collector who is looking to make a good investment. This investor should be savvy regarding the value of what I offer. It might help if anyone that is serious about my collection take a look at these two recently ended eBay auctions: 133775362062 & 384470420677. Again, I am citing these for comparison purposes. If I sold direct, I would share in the saving of the 15% commission and I would pick up 50% of the shipping. Ren

I know what it's worth, the problem is you don't seem to understand the basic rules of the forum, one of which is to list an asking price.

The rules are for everyone on here when selling, please state a price or I'm thinking that you won't be able to sell on here, sorry to say that but it's been the rules for at least the 9 years I've been on here so I doubt they will change now (and it's the same on some big FB groups like Echo).

Best of luck with it though but you might struggle with being US based, joining a day ago, and then hoping for someone to send a large payment. I'm sure you can see that might be a slight hurdle for some members on here.

Hi again @retroren, if you've read the rules, as you say you have, you know you must give a price. So, as per my previous request, please do so, or I'll have to lock/remove the thread (which would be a shame).

Sorry, I did not scroll and read "all" the rules. Again, my apologies if I have offended members of this forum. As I said earlier, I have been studying the recent sold lot sales on Ebay using completed auction 133775362062 as a case comparison since it comes the closest to what I am offering. The seller accepted a best offer of something less than $4250. With that figure in mind, I am offering this entire collection which is 100% authentic and original for $3750 USD. I am open to negotiation and willing to provide as much photographic and inventory detail as required. This is a legitimately great collection. I am aware I am an unknown among members of this forum but I do have been a long standing member of ebay with a 100% reputation.

Fyi, the seller of the above mentioned auction just revealed to me that he accepted $3450 USD plus $50 for shipping.

I'm a little confused as to how someone could pay $3750 (£2800) plus shipping and import fees and then resell it all and make a profit?

Hello: I sense bad vibes. I have tried to convey a willingness to sell at a reasonable price. The rules state an asking price must be included and I chose to offer it at $3750 based on a recent ebay sale (133775362062). If you compare the photo provided using "farm boy" Luke as an example to mine (see below), I am offering a super clean figure with tight joints and the same goes for Boba Fett plus I am including the really nice sticker. I wrote in earlier posts that my bottom line would leave room for the purchasing investor to make a good profit. It appears to me that the maximum value of this collection would be realized by someone that would parse out the overall collection in single and/or smaller lots. The $3450 less 15% ebay commission lowers the seller's net to $2932. I never said I was firm on my asking price. I even offered to split the cost of shipping. I am simply looking to have a dialogue with a serious collector and not trade barbs. I am open to a friendly negotiation. Ren
