Hi guys,
Looking for some advice on my Reeyees.
Trying to decipher from rebelscum if I have a moulded hand variant but I'm getting confused reading it 🤷🏼‍♂️
Pics attached….
Left 1 is Hong Kong
Right 1 is Taiwan
IMO Taiwan has light brown boots rather than green & on the last pic, HK looks to have brown legs with grey paint due to the rub
Any advice would be appreciated, I have the HK variant for sale in a job lot on eVay & just wondering if it's slightly rarer & I should keep it, cheers again 👍🏻 25AF8255-5B42-44D7-BA4C-6741F366036B.jpegEC9A6B7F-3489-40CB-80C0-8617F3ECAD60.jpeg6E5104B9-8144-4A33-924B-872D581CB548.jpeg5CF96EAD-DA4E-47C8-BF44-D710CC8ABF69.jpegE428C885-6ED7-447E-AAEE-95FE369A4408.jpeg

Hi Colin,

Your Taiwan is a moulded hands, your HK is a painted hands. You appear to have these two variants:

Triclops - 01.jpg

Triclops - 02.jpg

If you examine the hands up close, you can see that the Taiwan moulded hands variant (on the left in my pics) has shiny plastic unpainted hands, whereas up close the HK painted hands version is a more matte and duller finish, due to it being painted:

If you want some more pics, here's the 'Toy of the Week' thread on Ree-Yees:

I'm afraid neither variant is particularly rare or valuable, with each being worth about the same. Ree-Yees is not a figure whose variants grab the headlines, and hence they are not ones that most collectors care much about. I like them though, and it's still nice to own both versions :).

Hope that helps.

Thanks Jeremy!
I was looking for rifles & seen a graded couple pop up with "moulded hands" & just couldn't get my head round the rebelscum description.
Glad the Taiwan one is moulded as I have it matched to a cardback that has "figure made in Taiwan" on it so means I can keep the match.

Thanks again 👍🏻

Very helpful & interesting.
Didnt really realise how many different variants of figures/cardbacks etc there were until finding this forum.
