Based on similar threads I've seen on RS, I wouldn't waste your time unless you've unearthed a time capsule full of DT MOCs that he can make a percentage on. Gone are the days of him replying to requests about whether a loose weapon is authentic, according to a few people he's not even really in to Star Wars any more.

I guess it depends what you're trying to authenticate? I bet there are people on here that are just as knowledgeable as TD.

Yeah, sorry about that guys!

Its for a DT Luke Prototype Light Saber... It comes with authenticity from The Earth but just looking for extra information and assurance really.

Thanks,

Bram

Ah, that makes sense. IMO the most important thing for prototype pieces is history. Where did Earth get it from? Prototype pieces are often one of a kind, so impossible to 'confirm' authenticity by looking at them as there are unlikely to be many (or any) others to compare it to.

The Earth bought it from a Kenner Employee in 2004, so the certification says.

Hey Bram! I contacted Bill out of the Blue last year about a Rare Vader item I had found and he was really welcoming and polite. So new worries there and good luck if you manage to Grab it

Well, I did this "arse about face"... I got a phone call whilst I was on an all dayer on Saturday and just decided what the hell!! I put the deposit down there and then, but Bill has got back to me and said that he remembers the find and may have additional information to connect it to the find, maybe even some pics of my light saber!

He who dares, wins...

Hi Soren,

Thanks for the info, don't think for a second I am questionning it, its just as much information on it as possible adds to the history, I know it all looks cool, but a second or even 3rd opinion is always good to have, plus its such a nice piece I would love to backtrack the history of it.

Thanks again,

Bram
