Without being given the date that pic and set up looks very 70's :) and was the beginnings of something very beautiful indeed :)

Man this is a great pic, thanks for sharing

- those white box shaped extrusions look like they could be big 70s style computer monitors

This might sound like a daft question but what do we think that room was used for exactly? Was it for sales executives to view the line? I hate the font that's been used on the lettering. Reminds me of Granada TV in the 80's.

Wonder what those white square cube like boxes are for? - a display inside or something?

I was thinking TV sets show casing the new TV commercials or sales descriptions and training. They did have huge VCR and Beta players back then.

This was my theory too.

There were a few other photos along with these. I picked up this one which I thought was probably a scene inside one of the white cubes. There were some other toy photos, but they all appeared to be close ups from this scene.

I guess they could have been lit dioramas as that photo was with the rest of them

Yeah, it's just speculation at this point.

However, all later years did have dioramas on display. As far as I know these were all new '78 photos to surface, but there were also some movie stills, so it could have been a random sampling.
