I have this, and something has always puzzled me. What was the blue button behind the R2 and blue switch unit for? Clearly theres some electronic device, but its glued shut, it always intrigued me. And why was it glued shut..

It doesn't feature on the box itself, or in the instructions..

That's a Kenner X-Wing. The UK palitoy so didn't have the 'fancy' light :lol:

The instructions and box have Palitoy on them. This is a grey x-wing with the box is english and french.

Yes, thats the one. The reverse side has ROTJ in english.

I wonder why the electronics were removed.

Not that I recommend it but if you opened the battery compartment there is a battery space below. I'm sure the lack if electrics was just cost and they used the US moulds to save money. The best way to spot the diffeence between the UK and US grey xwings is there is no bulb on the front of the UK one. Otherwise the moulds are the same.

The grey pal xwing is a bit rarer than the white one and sells for a little more.
