miscarded ROTJ c3po on death star droid card

I have a carded figure which is on the wrong card - the figure is c3po with removable limbs, but it is on a tri-logo ROTJ backing card for the Death Star Droid.

I have had this since around 1991 and it looks genuine to me - there is no indication that it has ever been resealed. The bubble is bit battered but not yellowed, ditto the card is a bit tatty round the edges but still pretty good.

I can't find any reference online to similar mis-carded figures, nor anything similar on ebay and I'd like to put a valuation on it as I'm trying to get a list together for the insurance company.

Thanks

Its a known but very rare tri logo miss card, they just rammed any figure one to any similar looking figure cardback at the end of the toy line to sell off remaining overstock, I was lucky to drop on one of these recently, Gary (sithsmith) on here has one as well, the only 2 examples I know to date though, mine has the back back & Gary's does not, its a very cool & desirable miss carded figure & IMO in any condition you should be looking at a good price for it.

As said Vince will IMO be interested in buying it.

here's mine -

Yep a very nice miscard.

Would strongly recommend you put a picture of it up in this thread to help give an idea of value

Thanks Guys

Indeed I would be interested in it if you ever are going to park with it , I have the cash and I haven't got anything else on hold with payment plans  that seems never these days

Frank you bloody kept that one quiet lol and unusual for a c-3po miscard to have the black bag included , very cool.

I have seen a few more of these also am sure Jeff Jacob had one for sale on Ebay couple of years back.

Cheers

Hi,

I would also be interested in this item, so will put myself in the queue. I have a few miscards already and am always interested in picking up more.

Thanks everyone - here are some pictures - it doesn't have the black bag though.
Sorry I couldn't work out how to rotate the images...

Not to worry. Image is pretty clear.

Hard to put a price on this. I really don't know how rare this is. I certainly don't think it's one of the rarer miscards. But at the same time miscards have now become a lot more popular...unfortunately for those of us who have them as a focus!

I would have thought around the £200 mark, but I really am plucking them number out of nowhere in particular.
