Hi folks. I am slowly edging my way toward the big 5-0, and am looking to finally (and reluctantly) sell the last vestiges of my youth - my collection of Star Wars toys. I am gradually trying to find values for my items, and came across this forum which I hope may be able to shed some light on the true value of my collection. As a starter, I was wondering if anybody could give me a clue as to the value of my Denys Fisher 12" Stormtrooper figure. It dates from 1978, and is in pretty much mint condition. The box is intact and in reasonable condition, but is missing its inner card. I also have a 15" Darth Vader and a 15" Chewbacca (both by Denys Fisher from 1977 or 1978), and a 13" Boba Fett (by Kenner, 1980), all boxed (boxes intact, but in varying states), but again all missing their inner cards. As well as these, I have a fair selection of the smaller figures, including the original 12, though none have their original backing cards and packaging (I'm afraid I simply couldn't resist the temptation of removing them from their packaging between the ages of 10 and 13), although all are in remarkably good condition as I did take very good care of them (they also retain all original weapons and accessories). Any help from the Star Wars community would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, welcome, you've come to the right place.

Firstly, a picture tells a thousand words and if you can upload or link to some pics of your stuff this will help valuation immensely.

Lee Bullock is our resident expert on the whole 12" line and will give you an excellent idea on how rare/valuable your 12" dolls are. I will forward him the link to this thread. I do believe the Denys Fisher Stormtrooper is pretty hard to come by. Vader is relatively common.
I'm in the market to buy a 12" Boba Fett in ESB box, so if yours is in good condition, let me know!

Loose figures, in excellent condition, especially the first 12 are really sought after and are starting to command good money for certain examples - especially variants. Again, pics of you stuff will really help the guys here give you a good idea of price.

Cheers :)

Hi again. Many thanks for your helpful comments. I have tried to upload photographs of the Stormtrooper, but each time it seems to block it with an error message saying that the jpeg was too large. Would you like me to email them directly to you? I have taken some other photos of the other 3 figures as well which might be useful, but unless you know of any way round uploading the pictures I've got I can't think of another way of getting the photos to you.

Obviously, I'd love any help in valuations so am a bit annoyed that I can't upload the photos.

All the best

Hi again

Thanks for your message, but what is a "pm"? Unfortunately, I don't seem to have received any further messages or emails.

Hi again

I have finally managed to upload some images - it seems the site will only allow files under 1MB, and maybe won't allow too many files at once, so had to take some shots on a mobile phone rather than decent shots from a camera. I'll try to upload a few more in a secondary post.

Here are a few more images that I have managed to upload, but it hasn't allowed me to upload most of the better shots, such as the decent images of Boba Fett. I hope that this is a good start at least, and you can see that I'm not just taking the mick. Do you know of any other way of uploading the jpeg files, or is there another format that I should be using (I'm not exactly a technophobe, but I'm not the greatest when it comes to this sort of thing).

All the best

HI, you're looking at about £80-£100 for Vader as he is really common.

Stormtrooper, about £100-£120.

Without seeing more pics of Chewie and Fett it's hard to say.

I would be very interested in Fett if he's for sale.

Look in your messages section at the top. You should see my PM there. Or you can email:

Hi kieatky and sublevel

Thank you both for your interest, but at this point I am just trying to gather as much information as I can regarding the real values of the figures. I have been doing some research over the last week and have a slightly better idea, but would still like as much information as possible before proceeding with a sale. I will try to email you some better photos, sublevel, over the next day or so, and if anybody else would like to send me their email details via a personal message, please feel free to do so and I will do the same.

All four of these larger figures are in near mint condition, with all original accessories present, which appears to be quite a rarity, so sensible valuations would be welcome.

Best wishes

As with most things, condition is key.

The boxes, from what I can see are about C6-C7. A serious collector will pay serious money for mint examples. Your's are missing inserts and have tape damage, creasing and tears so all that is taken into consideration when valuing.

I have a MINT 12" Jawa for sale in the sale section at the moment and I'm looking for £150 (what I paid for it) and it's not sold. This has never been played with and the box is excellent with the insert, so that gives you an idea of what to expect.
