Been meaning to post for ages

Hi

I posted last year on discovering this forum, with a brief background to my collection and was planning on doing loads more posting and starting a run of carded figures to go with my Klaatu, Ree Yees and Gamorrean Guard (probably the cheapest carded figures available?!). Life got in the way!

So have been meaning to post some of my original collection from when I was a kid for ages but the thing that has made me write this post is visiting Star Wars Celebration on Sunday. I'd never been to a convention before so wasn't sure what to expect - had a fantastic time but the highlight for me was going with my 10 year old son who was wearing the very same Return of the Jedi T Shirt that I got just after Jedi came out.

I didn't really consider it as something unusual until we were queuing to go in and it struck me that he was wearing the very same top I wore 33 years ago and how amazing that was and that he's as obsessed with Star Wars as I was at his age. So, thought I'd post a picture of him wearing it in the queue and a few from my collection - hope you like them.

Nothing better than passing on the SW gene 8) awesome that it's the same design T shirt as well.
Nothing better than collecting with your son, I do so myself, and he is now 32!

Celebration had such a good atmosphere. Great mix of people of all ages. Great photos.

Thanks a lot - should have said, it's literally the same T shirt that has been packed away for the last 25 years!

It's weird, it didn't really hit me until we actually got in and I saw how excited he was. I "may" then have got a bit emotional!

So cool to have such excitement from your son, not to mention the re-wear of your old raglan top! 8)
