So...recently I got my collecting mojo back. As a result of a bargain score locally, I've headed down a path I've avoided before...Vintage Boxed items. Wasn't for any particular reason, I always really liked the artwork.

Starting to put together a little collection, here's my progress so far. Nicely housed in a new Ikea shelving unit bought today :D
MOC ROTJ Vader was a 40th Birthday present! Purchased via our own Iain Sanderson... :D

Few more bits on the way and have an idea what I want to get...Back on the slippery slope

Little afternoon reshuffle! Few new additions on the way and plenty more on the want list
Decided to free the X Wing, AT-ST and Falcon for display..I'm gonna take my time to get it set up right but quite happy with how it's shaping up.... :D

Cool display and room for at least twice as much boxed vintage that's already there.

You need a boxed AT-AT. :p

Looks brilliant by the way.

Definitely on the want list the olde AT-AT... 8)
Reckon stuff will have to go back into boxes once the collection grows!

Boxed Palitoy Slave One and Troop transport on the way so should be filling in the gaps nicely over the next while :D

I was thinking boxed Slave 1 as well. :p

Funny you say about putting everything back in the box to save room. This is how I have had everything for years (in the loft), then my son started showing an interest in Star Wars, so I started bringing vehicles out of there boxes for him to play with. Also have looked at a lot of limelights's on here and if it's MISB then obviously you display it boxed, but if not then most display all the parts off. I think this is the best way, room or not just block up the fireplace.

Took your advice and moved a few bits around to free up some space. Few more bits to be added over the next few months. Reckon the videos will be put away at some point....Really want to add an AT-AT, Rancor monster and some more boxed vehicles. Reckon I'll need another shelf in time
Updated layout with Land speeder and Slave 1 added..

That Landspeeder looks great, seen it in latest acquisitions thread. Still plenty of room though, so fill it!
