Star Wars comic ads help

Evening all,

Sitting around pondering about the new house ( new man cave aswell) and id like to get some the old comic ads. There are sellers om Ebay asking £30 for the Palitoy Fett one :shock: Im all for making a few quid but thats taking the piss. I am actually looking to keep the comics whole and display them as an open page. I do have a full set of UK marvels but dont want to split the collection up.

I thought it would be good if we could start a thread where you can list where and in what comics you found yours? Say you found e Fett offer in Eagle for instamce, you would let people know the issue number etc.

Ive got a few issues that ill add later

Be careful what you wish for.....this is a rabbit hole!

I've been threatening to carry on my project for at least a year now, but just not had time. Soon, soon..... I keep telling myself. I have about 1,500 Marvel UK comics. Obviously SW but also Hulk, Spider-Man, Avengers, etc. All had SW ads in them between 78 and 84. From going through a couple of hundred I have, so far, found the following adverts. Most (and the best) are toy related, some are "beyond the toys", some are film, a lot are comic related and some are unlicensed products.

The following are in no particular order in terms of date issue. I simply grabbed the comics I had and started going through them. My plan is, when I have gone through all I have I will stick up a website that will allow you to search by theme, title, date, product, etc. Whilst I don't like the cutting up of comics (fair play for displaying the whole comic, Lee) I like the idea of cutting up the comic for profit even less, and the more that this info is out there there less that will happen. Most of these comics are worth pennies in a job lot and you can usually pick up 50+ comics for the price that some sell the Boba Fett advert for. Incidentally, if you do end up doing this and want to unload the remaining UK comics, please send them my way

The red numbers are my addition (obvs) and part of my cataloguing process. I can only post so many per post to bear with....

On the back of a well read copy of Victor #1230

most of the ones I've found before have been posted but these are good from Spiderman and 2000ad we had a thread with these on some time ago
