Anyone know how much an average condition luke in an opened meccano card with bubble might be worth.
I'll dig it out ove the weekend and post some pics if any interest. Also I will check the luke figure, can anyone tell me how to establish if the luke is meccano issue?

Well I've decided to have a search for it tonight and have managed to find it!
You'll see in the photo's that a previous owner must of made their own poncho for him (kind of cute).

Bad points,

i) It's not sealed
ii) Bubble has cracks.
iii) Card has lots of creases and some grubby areas.
iv ) The Luc figure has no sabre.
v) The luc sabre hilt looks to have been painted (I don't think this is factory issue)

Good Points,

i) Bubble is about 50% - 60% sealed
ii) Card colours still good
iii) Lukes Joints are still stiff and apart from the hilt paint job he's in decent nick.
iv) It's a Meccano Luc!

Let me know what you think gents, cheers Bri

I think the figure is negligible with the condition unless it's a true Meccano. I managed to find a similar card and bubble that sold for £465 in 2017 so I'd probably say 500 as a starting point comfortably. I'd be interested if it came up for sale but I'd probably have to sell a few bits first

Thanks for your assessment, based on your link you sent with the variants of Luke the COO markings on mine suggest this is type II 1a whatever that means?

Variants may as well all be written in Russian cryptography for me, I haven't got a clue beyond yellow hair and brown hair lol

hi. I think the loose figure is worthless and not important at this point, because it can be replaced easily since MECCANO SW cards came packed with the standard HK figures (the famous Meccano Luke is in fact from the french Trilogo).

So the main attraction here is the card + bubble and the possibly to place a figure back and have a very nice item worth displaying... It is difficult to name a price because as a mint on mint card would probably sell for a few thousand £, collectors looking for that kind of stuff are generally picky and most pass damaged items in the hope to find a nice one someday.

I think it would sell in the £500 - £800 range, possible a few £100-200 more...
