Dark Brown Gaffi Stick Check

Bit of a basic question, but wanted to check When doing the dreaded float test (especially with a Gaffi stick), it shouldn't need to be delicately placed on top of the water should it? I know with some parts you need to do this but not as a general rule? And it should return to the top when pushed d...

Re: Thunder thigh Stormtrooper

Perhaps he was left astride a vehicle or creature for many years in a loft causing the legs to stay in that position!? Not sure that is the case, the top of his hips start to pop out if I try to squeeze his feet together. His thighs are up to 1mm wider than the figure I'm comparing it against, ther...

Re: Thunder thigh Stormtrooper

That could make sense. Measuring the body it is correct however the legs are about 2.5mm shorter. Is it a case that all 4 limbs would be moulded together on a sprue and kept together during manufacturer? The paint on the right arm almost looks like it has bled, I just thought it had been touched up ...

Thunder thigh Stormtrooper

What I got here? I don't think it is a Poontrooper (although the COO is the same variant), as some of the pointers don't match but to me the legs are spread too far apart and his hips are about 2mm wider In addition it is about 3 mm smaller than my other Stormtroopers, the arms 'clunk' every quarter...

Re: Warning new repro that is not in the tig guide

What I don't understand is this guy selling a repro Jawa blaster for £24.99 - and you don't even get free postage. And if it gets damaged in the post it is the buyers responsibility too!!

Re: What baffled you most about the toys as a kid?

The Die Cast Twin Cloud Car caused me issues. Were they on the side of the empire or the rebels? It was also the wrong size to fit in with the rest of the toys!

In the end I used to grip the central strut and pretend it was a hand gun

Re: Has Anyone Experienced This With eBay Before?

If it's sitting at the depot, and no one can pick it up won't it get returned to sender after a week or 2?

Bit of a pain in the arse, but can't see how eBay can't side with you

Depends on what you mean by intentional, I didn't intentionally make the buttons on a control panel in an Alfa Romeo the same size as a shirt button but they are

Re: Argos Top Selling toys, last 45 years

Apparently they are trying to promote the Argos Toy Exhibition at Tottenham Court Road. So I guess they are trying to say as many toys as possible to get interest.

Shame its all lies!

Argos Top Selling toys, last 45 years

Was Star Wars really the top selling toy in the UK in 1977? I think this may be just a bit of lazy research by Argos to induce a bit of nostalgia in time for Christmas (Otherwise I'm sure Star Wars would have been number 1 from 78-83 (I remember the news stories on Cabbage Patch kids so will let the...

Just tried the Han Hoth - fantastic!! I think I've had a good day at work already (and maybe I should go back to bed to ensure it doesn't get any worse)

The gun is new one on me (I think I used to do the helmet thing, but had forgotten it)

The gun has always frustrated as it never stays in her hand very well, and my little one has started to use the Boushh figures as target practice for her flying unicorns...

Re: Becoming desensitised to money due to collecting?

As a fairly new collector, the other half allowed me to finish off my loose collection a couple of years ago (I was 60% there with my childhood collection), I initially started by keeping to a budget but when I started to see the floating repro's starting to come out I must admit I panicked bought t...
