Re: Real vinyl caped Jawa?

It looks like a trimmed Obi-Wan cloak to me.

Which is an original KENNER accessory.

Hoth trooper is just too cool to lose. Good gun, silly skirt. Super play value for a 5 year old me.

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 3, 2020

To be frank, I really disliked Weequay as a boy. As an adult I appreciate the sculpt, the way he stands in that skiff position with weapon. He makes a great collectable. BUT As a child, having plastic hair that makes his head almost fixed, and having odd position hands so he can't hold anything else...

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2020 - 2nd Round - Match 7

As a child he was best as he wasn't limited like Farmboy with his stubby in-built lightsabre, he wasn't in a limiting costume like Luke Hoth or luke stormtrooper and his arms were straight making him more usable and playable with then the bent arm Luke Jedi. Versatile, had first flexible lightsabre ...

I seem to remember I had a mass of Weequays from the “Woolworths” multi pack bags that came at the end of the series.

Boba is STILL a great figure compared to modern 5 points of articulation figures.

Re: Collecting Advice Please ?

What I would do is first buy figures you really like in the ranges you may be interested in. Then, once you have a lovely set like that, then start filling the gaps with the less interesting ones. I wouldn't;t go chasing the weird rare stuff straight away as it's expensive and you may not be sure if...

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2020 - Group N

Again hard one: Plastic cape girl? Again not for me back in the eighties - Princess Leia Organa (Bespin Gown) Only Ewok I liked - Cute and fun! VOTE Wicket W Warrick Love the character but hated the figure. Look at those super blocky legs? That don't fit some vehicles! And the weird solid wizards sl...

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2020 - Group M

Looks great as an adult and pretty good as a kid, BUT THE STUPID RAP MIKE HAND POSITION. U Can't touch this? U Can't vote for this - Cloud Car Pilot Plastic cape? female? white blouse clothes? Not for this little boy - Princess Leia Organa Welded on hat I discovered as an older child/maybe early tee...

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2020 - Group O

Again harder this one as more figures I disliked than liked: I never knew this figure existed - so cannot vote for it - Snaggletooth (Blue) Hated the plastic cape and his box hand position. Meant he couldn't hold any other gun - Sand People (Tusken Raider) Non turning head was a bit annoying but thi...

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2020 - Group P

Hard group as most of these i didn't like as a child. I picked 8D8 because I used to pretend he was a transformer and turned into a sort of futuristic bull dozer by folding him over. DSC as I broke off his head pretty early, my dad used Araldite (?) to stick it on and it came off again. (I broke it ...

Re: Sell as a collection or as individual items?

You would get more individually but a lot more hassle.

So if you are time rich and cash poor - I’d sell myself.

Time poor? Sell it to a “good” dealer.

Time rich and cash rich? You have the start of a great collection - good luck getting the rest! 😀

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2020 - Group L

I voted on all these polls with my favourite figures WHEN I WAS A CHILD. I felt that best represented the true value of them. The playability, the usability, and variety of uses they could be put to back then. So for instance, I had no time for ERG as a kid, as he was almost useless for play and was...

It took me quite a while to get a Yak. They come up semi frequently but the price is often sky high! Good luck on that chase.
