Re: Forum Playset of the Year 2019 - Final

I’m a plastic tree man myself. Loved the set as a kid and so versatile play wise.

Jabba was such a shelfwarmer. I remember kids groaning when they got Jabba for a birthday!

Re: Vectis Sale 30th July now online

Do you think it’s someone flipping in the hope they can ride the Vectis wave?

Or maybe a collector selling up?

Or Vectis themselves?

Re: Vectis Sale 30th July now online

I just put a dozen bids in. Half SW half other stuff. I’ve also done what I call “The UKS bugger up” strategy of double bidding (this time deliberately) on a couple of pieces to ensure I get them... or at least put some serious effort in! I also think some of the non SW estimates are well out. I hav...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 61 LAUNCHED

My mum passed a few years ago. Star Wars is actually something that brings her back in my memory. The only film I saw in the cinema with her, her buying me chief chirpa and turning up at school pick up with it, etc

Brings back many memories. GL with the future. It gets better.

Re: Luke Skywalker - Jedi Knight Outfit

The only variant I want (beyond Blue Snag which I have) is the Luke Jedi molded face. And this is only because the painted face annoyed me as a child. (same with Rebel commando but I had the molded face there first!)

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 27, 2019, Part 2/2

I remember these piled high in ASDA in discount at the end of the SW run. Why did I not buy one??

I picked mine up in the nineties at a boot sale - along with a lot of other bits and bobs for a tenner.

Why does he exist?

(I always thought he was Asian. So I have learned something new today with that sharper photo!)

Bump! It’s summer. I got the Jawa.

I think August is a perfect month for Luke farmboy.

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Finally got a ESB Jawa. Bit yellow. Bit bashed. Just how I like them! Nice different card back for me as well.

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 26, 2019, Part 2/2

I'm not sure why I never got a shuttle. I wasn't hugely into vehicles (which is why I never bought the cheap B-wings in ASDA!) but it seems like an obvious late SW xmas present from my parents. They had done AT-AT and Falcon in consecutive years, then an X-Wing and Tie Interceptor... Though thinking...

Re: Loose collecting

When I did mine in the nineties, I just wanted "one of each". I wasn't aware of major variants like Blue Snaggletooth. I went small head Han. Even to this day, variants mean nothing much to me. I got Blue Snag in the end. The COO stuff I find a little bizarre. Sorry! .... Though, there is ...

ROTJ is a prequel to Star Wars as the Death Star isn't finished yet.

Re: Vectis 26th June

I got Lando General POTF for a little more then I wanted to pay (220 plus vectis tax) I'd have preferred a LG tri-logo - but maybe another day. The trilogy Yak sold for 1300 PLUS vectis 25%ish on top! That's around 1625. Ouch. Any reason for that? That's far too pricey if you ask me. I got a trilogy...
