Re: Echo Base Live IX 4th April 2020

What's the plan for Echo and COVID-19?

I can't do public events now, due to "underlying health issues" which means corona (which I loved as a kid - My particular favorite was Appleade.) has a much higher fatality rate for poor old me.

I wonder if ECHO was going to be moved? or cancelled?

If he was clever, he would have just sold the cards.

Re: “Skywalker Saga” 4K box set

I assume this will have Malaky in it? Hmm. I can't watch any new release with the Vader ROTJ NOOOOOOO in it. Such a betrayal of the character and the arc. At the end of ROTJ was the first moment he found peace/calm. His proper Jedi Bhuddist moment. Instead they made it about the Dark side again. All...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 8, 2020

My first Luke was given to me by my older neighbour. He had grown out of them at the age of around 11. (this would be 1982 I think) Yellow hair of course! I had I think at least one more (brown hair) that was eaten by the lawnmower. I remember lots of tears when my jawa was chopped to pieces before ...

I’ve changed my answer - what I wanted really badly was the micro collection stuff. I had a little Kenner leaflet advertising it but never saw it (obviously!)

Re: What's the one vintage SW item you wished you had as a kid but never got?

I had quite a lot of SW when I was young so had most of the main vehicles. I also wasn’t a huge vehicle fan, so didn’t feel I missed out on the one or two I didn’t have (tie fighter/snowspeeder) I think the one thing I wanted would have been a figure... but which one? I had about 80% of them and acc...

Re: Spot the legs?

This is deliberate. You can only con a con artist.

You think you are tricking them by getting a cheap yak but in reality the figure is repro or has no head!

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2020 - THE FINAL

There is no way Leia should win. Poor balance, tiny hands that can’t hold anything, inaccurate features (looks like Vasquez from Aliens), useless weapon and the helmet gimmick was crushed by the better Lando skiff and Luke stormtrooper. Yoda has multi-accessories, a Unique shape (hump!) and a remova...

I’m Pretty sure 7 and 8 are A-team. 7 for the bigger figures and 8 for the smaller ones. You can check on google.

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2020 - Semi Final - Match 2

I vote as childUKS and childUKS disliked all female figures.

Plus her hands are too small for proper weapons and she used to tip over a lot.

IIRC unused to stick her helmet on other figures.... but can’t remember who. I think maybe Lando skiff.

Bottom of photo 2 is a GI Joe weapon. Lamprey Sonic Fighter I think.

The GI Joe as well - grey Uzi (photo 3 - 3rd up from bottom) is Snake Eyes v3 I think.

Re: Star Wars knock-off''s and spin-off's

Never diss the glory that is STARCRASH!!!!!!!!!!! This is the FIRST movie we rented as a family on BETAMAX from our local (brand new) video store. I am pretty sure I didn't know it wasn't Star Wars BTW. This would have been very early eighties. (we had a video very very early as my dad was a technol...
