Re: Ready Your Wallets, Gentlemen...

It's funny, but since I never knew Vinyl Cape Jawa's existed until I was an adult, I feel absolutely no resonance for them!

Yet things like Blue Snaggletooth, I've snapped up. Bizzare isnt it.

Starcom - high quality loose.

Hi all! My youngest daughter (6) is loving Starcom! I have sourced a bit from ebay and my childhood collection, but it hasn't aged well. Yellowed, brittle and the physical mechanisms used have all failed. So i would LOVE to get some really good quality (not mint necessarily) but working mechanisms a...

Re: Surprised by Astons

There is some obscure non-SW stuff that if the right people see it would go for big money... but also could sneak under the radar cheap cheap cheap. There is one thing I have stuck a big bid on - Not because it is valuable (it's literally bootleg non-SW junk) but because I had it as a child and have...

I think the ultimate SW run would be a "full" set of ToyTonis!

Re: Unusual Pre Cert Empire Strikes Back Pal VHS

Paramount allegedly only used that logo that appears on this VHS between 77 to 80. This aligns with the copyright 1980 on the video. Which is far before it came out on video in 1984 - perhaps before ESB came out in the cinema. The BBFC started classifying videos in 1984 when ESB came out. The write ...

Re: Vintage collection: Millennium Falcon, Snow Speeder, 40+ figures (original boxes and manuals inc)

Individually would get more but it's easier to sell as a collection. if you sell individually, you will be left with a few that are so common, no one really wants them. You could use ebay sold listings as a *start* for pricing - But you probably would need to pick a median number rather than the top...

Re: Anyone Collecting From Vectis?

I once drove to the Oxford Vectis office. I got my stuff transferred there. (It was about 30 MOC IIRC)

It was a couple of hours from the south west. Would that be a better option for you from Gloucestershire?

Re: Vectis mentioned on Daily Mail

I was chasing Rock Lords and Visionaires - and got just outbid on 90% of them. Hmmmph. 60 Quid plus fees per UK packaged Rock Lord is just too much I feel. Nearly 200 quid per Visionaires. (I am glad I missed the auctions live as I would definitely have put higher bids in.) As it is, I got three Vis...

Yep mixer closed a few weeks ago (I think!)

Not sure Vectis is even aware of that. They have never struck me as the most tech savvy org

Re: Vectis mentioned on Daily Mail

Vectis is a bit mad again today. Supernaturals figures (which I picked up for a pound each and have never been worth anything!) sold for figures like 280 quid. Madness.

I haven't seen the results of my bids but I am absolutely sure that I will lose them all. Boo!

Re: Rumour they are remaking the sequels

They will never remake the sequels as Carrie is dead and Harrison is old and expensive. They *may* shoot ahead of the sequels and never mention them again. They *may* even do something Retcon-esque and bring Luke back - They have the ability to do so as they were planning on doing that with Obi-Wan ...
