Some great items on here lately!

I’ve received this store display poster today, it’s been on my wish list for ages and I’m delighted to have it in hand. Jabba the Hutt Peach Melba anyone?

I don’t often get the chance to add to the @@ Driver focus these days as I’m only really looking for one thing (and this wasn’t it!), so it’s nice when something new crops up. Thanks to Paul for the heads up!BE0E7263-AF98-428F-95A8-0B04F7DA4291.jpeg

Re: Latest Acquisition

Well it has certainly been a crazy year for all of us what with COVID-19, lockdown and furlough etc :!: It has also been a crazy one for me regarding vintage SW as yesterday I received the last MOC I have been missing for a long time to complete the Palitoy full historic production run of Luke Skywa...

Re: MOC Rarity

If it’s rarity as in available for sale or trade publicly, simple answer is neither have turned up for a long long time until one of each recently so currently both as rare as each other. Regarding in existence I too really don’t know but am pretty sure a fair few of each are out there being such a ...

Re: Palitoy 12 and 20 Back MOCs

Indeed. I went on a quest for the 12&20 run in 2009 and by summer 2009 I believe I had secured 9 of the 12 backs and at least half the 20 backs. I distinctly rem writing a cheque out to a friend in the hobby for £1900 and that was for a case fresh mint 12 back A card Leia, A card stormtrooper and B ...

Re: Palitoy 12 and 20 Back MOCs

Jawa situation is just crazy for years it was respected as a v gettable 12 back-part of the “easy” 7 :!: I believe the last Jawa that sold on FB for big money was down to a combination of being in near mint condition graded AND being unpunched :!: Unpunched examples r v tough to find :!:

Re: Palitoy 12 and 20 Back MOCs

As said earlier a rarity list can have a relatively short shelf life regarding order of rarity :!: Not too long ago the 12 back Chewie was hands down considered the rarest non variant 12 back. I know collectors that bought entire sets just to get Chewbacca :!: Today Ben seems to have taken No 1 spot...

I do think it is important to share, but not necessarily everything especially if it feels it might be detrimental to your collecting. If we don't share though what's the point of this forum. Over the years I've hugely enjoyed helping mates and fellow forum members acquiring pieces and gotten loads...
