Re: East Bristol Auctions today

They have quite a few toy auctions every year and I find the final prices are suspiciously high so I don't even bother bidding any more.

Re: The future of Vintage Star Wars collecting

I do also think, however, that our generation will have a unique place in collecting, as we fell in love with it all first-time around. For new collectors, they don'...

The future of Vintage Star Wars collecting

We seem to be in a boom period for collecting vintage Star Wars, with many children of that period now having a high amount of disposable income, but what does the long term future hold? Re: MOC Empire Strikes Back Palitoy Darth Vader

Personally, I think £800 is a bit on the high side. I've had a couple of these myself and come across a couple of others besides. If someone is offering £800 I'd snatch their hands off.

Re: End of 2018 Collecting Review, 2019 goals

in 2017 I gave up my goal of collecting the first 12 on meccano cards and sold what I had (10 of the 12), opting to focus on my Palitoy run. 2018 continued this; added a good few pieces - MOCs, MISB and Diecast I am collecting the SW, ESB and Jedi waves (so 67 figures). I have 18 to go (plus 3 whic...

Re: Vectis Auction November 28th TV+Film

That sounds pretty concerning that you can be the higher bidder and not actually win. It's not the first time i've heard this either. However i wonder what they can actually do about it after the auction particularly if people have paid. What do they do, call people up and say sorry mate were givin...

Enjoyed it with some fine sequences, but not amazing, it felt a bit Star Wars Lite. 6.5/10.
