Re: Palitoy Tauntaun Box

Never noticed this before, will have to check mine, but I could swear it's pre printed.
I know my SW tie fighter is rebadged, which is common, since it was one of the first 'ships' to come out and Palitoy weren't fully up and running at that point.

Re: Episode 9...your personal feelings

I fucking well can't wait, can't believe how many miserable bastards are on here, it's new Star Wars, FUCK YEAH I wouldn't call myself miserable for not liking the new Star Wars films including the prequels. Distraught is a better description. And for those who do like the new films I hope the 9th ...

All vintage is crazy now though, you could probably get a boxed DS for the same price as a carded last 17 r2d2.

Did you find anything up there? Most cities don't really cater for vintage SW these days.

Re: Wow stunning example but what a price

I think nostalgia will undoubtedly have a lot to do with many collectors liking it (as it does with collecting vintage Star Wars in general for most of us, of course). I'm sure there will be some people who never owned one, but still appreciate the toy too of course, but if you never owned one as a...

Re: Wow stunning example but what a price

I can't believe there's no love for the cardboard Death Star, it's the ultimate playset from the 1977-85 line. I couldn't agree more, my favorite toy/playset growing up without doubt and way better than the Cantina that I didn't end up playing that much with (which ironically I still have unlike my...

Re: r2 drid factory

Not sure on price but do know Palitoy is more than Kenner Why is that Carl? Surely both are the same parts, same R2? How do you tell a Kenner Droids Factory R2 to a Palitoy Droids Factory R2? I believe the sticker is different, although I couldn’t tell you the what the differences are I must compar...

Re: r2 drid factory

It used to be cheaper buying a beat up kenner droid factory from the states to acquire our 3 legged friend, that's what I did anyway. They're much tighter on customs these days though, so perhaps today, that's not financially viable.

Re: Wow stunning example but what a price

I think also it has a lot to do with that I used to look after my toys and a cardboard toy like that would have been easily destroyed when my friends came round to play. Yer but that doesn't detract from the fact that the DS is a thing of beauty and perfect for reenacting loads of famous scenes. I ...

Re: Vectis 30th April Sale NOW ONLINE

They will go for a lot higher than the estimates - Well, they normally do. The only "modern retro" stuff I saw go for less, was some Transformer Headmaster and Targetmaster a couple of auctions ago, that didn't get anywhere near what they suggested. I wonder why sellers are using Vectis o...
