Re: Latest Acquisitions
Smashing score Rich, if it had said Joes though I think it would have trumped you :D  Nice purchases guys, I went through a few pages just now and it's nice to see so many people still putting their pictures up here. One criticism though, it's 2018...and your photos are all still out of focus ...

Re: Woolworths Special Buy 8 Star Wars Figures for 99p Pack Research Findings
Well done Laurence, a very conclusive and damning thread. You've given up your own time to provide incredible research that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that these fakes are in circulation, have been for quite some time and sadly the majority come from the same source. I wish I could say I was ...

Re: Did potf mocs make it to uk shelves ?
"Yes they would have been Trilogos, all other carded packaging styles across Europe were phased out in 1984 in favour of the multi lingual Trilogo card." I am certainly one not to be argumentative but I will have to disagree here regarding the phasing out in 1984. Sorry, rather badly worded on my p...

Re: Did potf mocs make it to uk shelves ?
I definitely saw Last 17 figures, must have been Tri-logo's? Wish I bought them! Yes they would have been Trilogos, all other carded packaging styles across Europe were phased out in 1984 in favour of the multi lingual Trilogo card. Just out of interest how do we definitely know they weren’t sent h...

Re: Quickdraw Han and articulated Greedo
but being a prototype you'd expect It to be hand made. Usually but not always. Sometimes to demonstrate an idea or a mechanism designers would just use what was on hand at the time. Kit bashed prototypes using parts from other toy lines is a good example of that kind of thing but they were also rou...

Re: Did potf mocs make it to uk shelves ?
I'll await the photos but if I'm honest it would take a lot more than a price sticker to convince me otherwise at this point. I've not been around as long as some but in the last 15 years I've never once seen any POTF carded in childhood photos, never seen any price sticker evidence before now on MO...

Re: Did potf mocs make it to uk shelves ?
Although we did receive a certain amount of US stock, POTF carded figures with coins were definitely never sold at retail in Europe. Memories are just memories and are never enough to confirm anything in this hobby. Any US POTF figures found on this side of the pond would have come from toy dealers ...

Re: POTF website??
I would have recommended poweroftheforce.com but it's sadly no longer maintained as the creator, Ed Lee, passed away a couple of years ago. You can however still get most of it through the wayback machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20170319070003/http://www.poweroftheforce.com/ Most pages take a w...
