Re: Death star
The gunners chair is £40-50. x2 pair of clips £15-20 each Guns £10 The cardboard parts, if they're in good shape, about £100 for the lot. So for a lot you're looking at about £150-200. The Palitoy Death Star has really shot up in vlaue recently - you could get a mint complete loose one about 12 mont...

Re: Cool story bro !!
Well, that's about the best story to end this year on IMO! Brilliant mate, what a xmas present!
The ONLY thing that could have made this any better would have been if it was a 30 back!

Re: Luke Bespin Orange Hair
I heard the ginger hair Luke Bespin was Palitoy, is that correct? It is - the paint application is also very poor and they nearly always have wear so finding a mint one is tough - I've also found them in the past where the paint is still tacky to the touch! They're not really any rarer or mmore val...

Re: Surprised by Astons
The auction house cost the seller a lot of money - if they'd have done a half decent job of cataloging everything correctly and spacing out the lots over 2 days I think they could have made substantially more. But then Astons were closing down anyway so that's why it was such a smash and grab style ...

Palitoy ESB poster and wobbler
As some of you know, I love to create stuff that I had wished Palitoy had done back in the day - and as we all know Palitoy produced so very little in the way of point of sale and shop displays, and those that have survived and come onto the market command incredible prices. Over on the Palitoy Coll...

What a bargain - it's true, it's still out there for next to nothing if you look hard enough...and lady luck is smiling on you.
That will clean up lovely

Cracking re-seals Andy, it's a really satisfying run to put together and an awesome display.
Ian (Palifan) is a gent and pleasure to deal with too - he's helped me and many others here on their quest to put these Palitoy runs together.

Re: Unusual Pre Cert Empire Strikes Back Pal VHS
Would the VHS release be on Paramount? I thought they came out on 20th Century Fox or CBS Fox, also the mention of Georgetown Productions on the label is odd as they produced the Friday the 13th films and were owned by Paramount Pictures. Certainly never seen one like that before. Good point - and ...

Re: Unusual Pre Cert Empire Strikes Back Pal VHS
Never seen this before, my first thought was pirate but I'm not so sure now. It's feasible that this is an early regional edition of the film, or possibly even produced by a chain of stores specifically for their outlets. I'm constantly amazed at how much certain videos fetch these days, a copy of t...

Re: Interesting news article about Elvis memorabilia
There are some parallels here, they're both pop culture icons for sure. Trouble is when Elvis died, a large part of his appeal died too, meaning only fans who can relate to that era are largely driving any market for collectibles - the true collectors pieces anyway. Star Wars is a different animal -...

Re: James Martin / Waltham Wookiee
He put up one hell of a fight - took a lot of strength and courage to do that and it appeared at one stage he looked like he's won, or had certainly got the upper hand. Still have the SWFUK mug he did for the forum a few years ago. He always did some cool swag for Celebrations! Remember that VME too...

I don’t collect modern but these were actually a really good listen. Need to stop listening though otherwise I’ll tread the same path as @SublevelStudios  There's some really decent modern stuff coming out just recently, I just can't resist - the ppower of the Dark Side! That said, Hasbro have...

Re: Generation Skywalker
Out of interest was the chew box on the enhanced podcast yours and if so is it filled with chew sweets or are those a few opened wrappers on top of it? Ian No, I think that might be Craigs and he mocked up a load of wrappers filled the top layer so it looked fully stocked! He's a clever lad that Sp...
