Re: Modern Podcast Shows on Generation Skywalker

I don’t collect modern but these were actually a really good listen. Need to stop listening though otherwise I’ll tread the same path as @SublevelStudios  There's some really decent modern stuff coming out just recently, I just can't resist - the ppower of the Dark Side! That said, Hasbro have...

Re: Generation Skywalker

Out of interest was the chew box on the enhanced podcast yours and if so is it filled with chew sweets or are those a few opened wrappers on top of it? Ian No, I think that might be Craigs and he mocked up a load of wrappers filled the top layer so it looked fully stocked! He's a clever lad that Sp...

Re: Generation Skywalker

Great podcast as ever guys and I used to keep my SW figures in the Trebor Chew Box and it's one of my great regrets letting it go years ago but it was nice to see such a fantastic looking one on the enhanced podcast. I'm guessing that's Marks and I did wonder if that's just a few chew wrappers on t...

Re: Next Vectis Auction?

does anyone know who the former employee was? They worked in the accounts/finance dept and pretty much everything was obtained by them through the Palitoy shop onsite. That includes some of the Action Man and misc stuff that appeared in the auction. The guys son actually popped up on the Palitoy gr...

Re: Palitoy Yoda Hand Puppet

The last one I sold (about 8 months ago) was in slightly better shape - never been played with but not sealed. I got £150 for it almost straight away no questions asked :D So I might have pitched it slightly less than what it could have fetched. I'd say start it about there, maybe £150 and see how i...

Re: Childhood Toy shop

What a cracking thread Rob - great result. I think this hammers home why some of us collect, the nostalgia, that connection with our childhood and the memories we have of happy times :) I generally don't collect anything that is outside the UK in terms of brands BUT there is the odd exception, like ...

Re: Palitoy Death Star Canopy

I've always thought any clear ones must be repro but I was told not so long ago that one of those sealed examples that turned up at Vectis (Frank Beech auction I think) was opened and it had a clear canopy inside.

That said, I think I'd only ever feel 100% about a yellowed one.

Looks the business Ian.

And an interesting price label too - there's a sentence I thought I'd never say.

Re: Death Star

Yep very true, just using it as a comparison so the £500 pound valuation you stated seems very fair. All good mate :) Seems it's on ebay... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Original-Star-Wars-Palitoy-Death-Star-In-Great-Condition/313079455211?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l...

Re: Death Star

There’s one on eBay atm for £595 Ono,it seems to have a lot of interest. Also yours is in a lot better condition. Asking price and selling price are 2 different things though. Also take into account ebay fees when selling. My advice would be either to sell on here in the classified section or take ...

Re: Death Star

Box looks in really good shape - instruction sheet is £120 on it's own, however, that broken canopy and door will really hold it back from going for a higher price ATM. I think you should easily get £500 for it but in an auction you could get more. There are plenty of collectors out there who want o...
