Re: Palitoy or toy toni

There are genuine cards out there but reading up on Mr Palitoys site the bubble on yours is a classic TT.. "Toni used rectangular bubbles with square corners and these are the correct bubbles for some of these figures like C-3P0 (Removable Limbs), Imperial Stormtrooper (Hoth Battle Gear) and Chewbac...

Re: Palitoy or toy toni

My TT Hoth Trooper looks exactly the same.. blacked out offer date and even the rifle is in the same position.

Re: Palitoy or toy toni

Black marker on the back is nothing to worry about. Many Palitoy cards had this as it was to cover an offer date that had expired.

However.. Mr Palitoy is the guru on all things TT... so if he says it looks like a TT then it more than likely is.

Re: Which retro consoles do you still have?

No retro consoles for me, as I only have a Xbox 360.. I do still have my old Spectrum 128k+2B system, which comes out to play fairly often.

Cheat a bit now as I have most games on SD and run them via a DIVMMC unit, so no waiting for a while for a tape to load up.

Re: Anyone building Lukes X-Wing?

Not this one for me.... did the R2 and it's great.

It does look rather good though.. however I'm waiting for Ecto 1 to show itself in the new year.

Re: Advice/tips for Celebration Chicago?

I did NYCC a few years back... my first and currently only overseas convention. Not sure how Chicago tickets go, but I picked mine up from the venue the day before (didn't have to queue then either).. however, the queue to get into the venue on the day was a good 4+ blocks walk. Didn't seem to take ...

Very tough one here....

Love the iconic Stormtrooper, but the removable helmet on Leia was the best... Leia for me.

Re: Another repro seller on EBay !

I was immediately thinking Poon when these popped up... buying in bulk and selling them on. Luke Stormtrooper is worrying though... made by an ex Kenner/Palitoy employee apparently.. "My supplier/maker of this amazing figure has spent months and months to finaly pull this off, these are same plastic...

Re: Panini Jedi stickers

There's plenty of unopened Topps packs doing the rounds but finding a Panini pack is tough to track down.

I luckily got one off eBay a few years back for about £7... but with prices now could be alot more due to scarcity.

Re: best retailers for wide stock and price

You'll find loads of it on the SW 'Modern' Facebook pages. Most POTF to Ep1 go for a only few quid, so they are cheap as chips mainly. There's a few that go for more, but they're not impossible to get.

Not one on 'the' list so could possibly be genuine.... or he's suddenly got a new batch that's never been seen before.

Not a bubble he had either from what I can make out.

Defo strange that he's selling Palitoy cards again given his track record.

Re: Build Your Own R2D2

Another few months gone... up to 88 now. Dome is complete.. body panels and main legs are done. Just got the centre foot to go and all the electronic wizardry to fit in the final issues. Also needs fully bolting/screwing together. Retraining bolt is a half size replica from eBay. 20180920_183727.jpg...
