Re: Star Wars Celebration Europe 3 - July 15th - 17th 2016

As posted on their FB page: Just can't believe this. Or just hard to believe they sold more than 50,000 tickets for one day... Capacity of the Exell center is at any one time for 68,750 visitors. As far as i now, in all Cons and Celebs tickets were available to the very last days, rarely weeks. Why ...

Re: Vectis 26th & 27th May

The prints are proofs/cromalins from the catalogue though I guess and used by Palitoy - which must give them some extra credence. I knew they were from a catalogue, but certainly thought they were proof items and not simple copies. I agree Max, I had them in my hand and they were on proper photo pa...

Re: Vectis 26th & 27th May

The 'salesman photos' actually had 3 Chromalin type prints in with them, which is why they went so high. You never see palitoy prototypes like this. I didn't win btw. This is ridicoulous. These 3 supposed Chromalin type prints are in fact photographic prints taken from the Kenner 1980 catalogue... ...

Re: tv crew inside old palitoy factory today!

yes jc has the correct photo. it used to have an entrance on the owen street side between the terrace houses. I wouldn't waste your time or fuel going nothing to see just an old building and shed! I only went to pick a few bits up and its only 30 mins away. Yes, there's an entrance on Owen street t...

Re: tv crew inside old palitoy factory today!

This is the wrong location Jason.... :( The old Palitoy factory of Coalville is on Owen Street and it still exist today. It's a business park that houses a half dozen of small companies. The site is still known as "The Old Toy Factory"... http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o363/Panastur/Pa...

Re: Old Toy Shop discovery story

I've been collecting a long time and it is commonly known that alot of the dealers went round the country in the mid 90's and bought up the old Star Wars stock from the last of the traditional toy shops. I'm sure there is stock out there, but maybe they're in lock ups or in houses/garages rather th...

Re: Upcoming Vectis auction/toy shop find

Interesting, although its down to conjecture as there is no real proof. I think this will be another mystery unless we track down a Palitoy employee to confirm. Great read though :) Hi Lee, I really do appreciate your interest and it is with pleasure that I will answer your questions. But first, I ...

Re: Upcoming Vectis auction/toy shop find

The evidence suggests that they were assembled in the Far East factories. The 12 back Palitoy and Kenner cards use the same figures, footers and bubble progression. Take the Jawa 12 back for example:- http://www.freewebs.com/mrpalitoy/sw12bcardback.htm http://www.12back.com/features/vcjawa/vcjawa.p...

Re: Price Check - German General Mills 45 Back R5D4 MOC

How does the seal on that look any different from the one I posted from toytoni.com? Jason Hi Jason, It looks pretty much the same at first sight, but the Toni picture you provided is to small to tell... The seal on Liam's R5 follows the same pattern all arround the edges. The bubble side in contac...

Re: Price Check - German General Mills 45 Back R5D4 MOC

Hi Liam, If we look closely at the full size picture, we can easily see that the seal looks genuine http://i1227.photobucket.com/albums/ee425/liam1233/R5D4ESBGerman_1_zps9b57eef5.jpg~original Now, the R5 was well on Toni's lists , but this does not necessarily mean that it has been forged. Toni also...

Hi, This 12 back box set was displayed at a 2012-13 french Star Wars toy expo in Paris. Re: TT figures?

HI, Lobot's bubble look too bluish to my taste... I know it's a 45 back card and this cardback don't appears on the list but the bubble looks pretty much the replica PE(bluish polythene) bubble Toni used on C-3PO RL. These original vintage style bubble were pretty fragile and could be dented easely....
