Re: Which figure would you keep?

I prefer the Kenner one. It's what I personally remember gawping at on pegs. The Trilogo era, although hardly a million years away from a Kenner ROTJ, doesn't hold the fuzzy memories as much for me. I have another obscure reason. I've often spotted a slightly sharper image or nicer contrast on First...

Re: Star Wars 4K77 - Wow

it really is something. I recommend people grab the DNR version. For non videophiles, this means some Digital Noise Removal and a bit of sharpening has been tastefully added. The version without this was a bit grainy even for my usually purist tastes. Also, for those without 4k tellies, 1080p versio...

Collecting Track panels from Celebration on YouTube

I daresay everyone knows about this and I'm late to the party, but the Collecting Track people from this year's Celebration have uploaded pro quality videos of many, many panels. But in case anyone missed out like I nearly did, here's the link. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVdkiJTWqI_t5MjR3dVZod...

Re: Boushh Card Back Art

Weirdly, I hadn't noticed it before. It looks like it was done in the same style as the Gam Guard and Klaatu even though those are bordering on Andy Warhol.

Re: Clear plastic inserts inside cardback bubble?

C3P0 removable limbs and Gamorrean Guard too. Earler on, cumbersome figures merely had that bit of folded cardboard to keep them facing forward in the bubble before they went all-out with trays.

Re: Star Wars references in 80s films

The brilliantly bleak British TV film 'Threads' from 1984 about a nuclear attack shows some Star Wars figures that survived the blast. This link takes you straight to a glimpse in the trailer for the recent Bluray. https://youtu.be/2-jrwwCNCxE?t=38 Blast from the past. We studied that in the 3rd ye...

Re: Buying in the 80's how we used to buy figures

I started getting them around Christmas 1980 aged almost-seven. My memories are strangely clear in that I recall each wave thereafter coming out, the more noticable changes in cardbacks and pretty much every Glasgow shop I got the stuff from; mostly large chain stores in town with a couple of idepen...

Re: Guidance Advised: 2,387 Vintage Figures Melted

I don't want to give him a click. To anyone who has watched it all, does he offer a reason? Star Wars is finished for him since the takeover? Star Wars fans are a bunch of snowflakes or the exact opposite or whatever so this will annoy them? He's into the KLF? The Earth is flat?

Re: Latest Acquisitions

I've not posted here in quite a while but feel the urge to share my chuft-ness at a common toy. I fancied an Imperial Transport and it was important the electrics worked. I saw this one listed as making some sort of vague sound so I bought it up with a view to pressing the buttons for a while to se...

Re: Imperial Troop Transport Appreciation Thread

I'm a latecomer to the transport party and I think it's mine that prompted Cazza to bump the thread. I had been fancying one but it was important the sound worked: I like the idea of fragile tiny records surviving all this time. I bought mine from eBay advertised as complete but making an unintellig...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 56 LAUNCHED

Many thanks, guys.

Oh, the TIE Pilot had a completely different picture on the Trilogo. So the quiz is null and void. :D The ATST Driver did too with a picture even more boring than previously. Oh and Lobot.
