Neat. So are the pegs on the wings on early ones?

Re: What item did you get for a bargain because of a flaw?

Great finds. The Menzies sticker on Dengar puts a hat on it! Two things of mine spring to mind. Firstly, a Stormtrooper that was described simply as 'opened' and I figured I would try and reseal it. The poor description must have put people off as it went for only 19 quid. It turned that opened act...

Re: Poll threads

I'd like the Toys Of The Week and polls seperated off from the main forum, if this is a makeshift poll. :) I'd be more inclined to look at the TOTW chat if the threads were titled with the name of the toy rather than week numbers, etc. I like voting in the polls but have got a bit lost - hey I get lo...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

I've not been posting - or buying much - but hello to all who share the joy here, all of it. Special mention to the possibly Littlewoods or M&S pyjamas.

Re: How do you pronounce gamorrean guard?

I always pronounced it as if to almost rhyme with Delorean. The first time I heard otherwise was some years ago when Matt Lucas was on some show claiming he could identify any vintage Star Wars figure blindfolded. When passed the gammy, he called it Gammo ( rhymes with Zammo) - Reean ( rhymes with w...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 62 LAUNCHED

Thanks for another nice episode. It was great to put voices to the Toys Of Tattooine guys, being exactly the sort of collector who gets as much joy from the supposed tat ( their words ) as that Vader MOC I just can't justify. Goodbye to Jez. I'll be lost without those soothing descriptions of vintag...

Re: Unique Action Figure smell!

Stormtroopers are most memorable for me. I swear I have a couple with traces of the whiff.

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Here's a silly sideline I've been trying to complete for some years and have finally done so: a set of five knock-off keyrings. Ages ago a poster, I think here, acquired an unused shop hanger full of them which was my guidance. The character choice suggests they're from the 70s. I remember psychade...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Love the keyrings Chipsteak, pure tacky 70s goodness! I'm interested to know whether the R2 is part of this set? I recall the picture of the carded keyrings that you've mentioned, and I thought it was just the 4 other characters. Is R2 plastic like the others, or metal, please? I double-checked tha...

Thanks all. They are plastic, Mini99. Even Artoo is very lightweight.

Re: New retroline.......

Regarding the horrible safety sheets, I'm hoping the Tarkin figure won't require one as it's bundled with a bigger set which should carry its own bumf. As for the others, modern figures traditionally have had these beneath the feet so here's hoping.

Re: Vintage to Modern figures.

Some Vintage Collection MOCs have been worth big bucks for years now. I realized they weren't for me when I saw what they were going for and worked out I'd rather have the cash. Figures released toward the end of the first Vintage Collection line were terribly poorly distributed and, when I last dip...
