Re: Space efficient (and cheaper) alternative to Star Cases

I actually use them for display: I don't have hi-end MOCS and I think they look nicer than star cases despite not being as strong. I long for a shallow star case too though as they can straighten a really warped card.

These things are nice.

I've only watched one, can't seem to find one of them. I watched the one about Palitoy factory, what's the other one called?

There's BBC Star Wars this week. This time, a radio documentary on the World Service.

Re: 2019 Christmas Tat

I've been short of mugs and I've been holding off buying some HOPING for a regular Star Wars mug or two, which would be very nice.

Let's see. :D

Re: SPOILERS THREAD-The Rise of Skywalker-SPOILERS THREAD

I like it. Everything Matt said basically. I'll add that if things getting very sequellish, in a humongous way that sometimes isn't completely sensible, is a complete deal-breaker for you then avoid the eighth sequel to anything and stick to the originals. I was genuinely moved a number of times and...

Re: The Vintage Rebellion Episode 66 Launched

Thanks more education, information and entertainment. You run a public service.

Kudos to Jason for attempting The Adventure Game in audio form. TAG co-starred Kenny Baker as the alien leader who took the form of a grumpy aspidistra.

Star Wars Palitoy documentary coming to BBC4

I contacted about this a while back and thought BBC Midlands would get a programme about Palitoy in general terms but NO we're getting a national programme about Palitoy and Star Wars. Oh and a longer version of the last, very good, BBC4 SW doc. https://mobile.twitter.com/david_insideout/status/1197...

That's quite a picture JabbaW.

It does mess with my memories seeing a Transport sharing a Christmas with Trilogos. Great stuff.

Re: Do we know when certain card backs were launched into shops?

I don't know exact information but most of those figures came out in the 1981 wave. They'd be among the newest figures at Christmas 1981 although the figures tended to come out in Spring into Summer so would be a few months old. Still bigger than sliced bread tho...

Re: Were they rare

There were toys that never made it to the next movie's range. As a child of ESB, I never saw a Death Star Playset on shelves. My slightly younger Star Wars loving friend who got onboard during ROTJ doesn't remember seeing A Cloud Car or Dagobah.

Re: Rubbish eBay Packing - What Should I Do?

I felt the need to contact someone for sending me a boxed Snowspeeder simply wrapped in brown paper. S/he had very low feedback so I politely said that the boxes of these things are desirable and s/he might get caught out with a claim in future a similar item got damaged.
