Re: Haslab Khetanna

This was an interesting video and update from RetroBlasting worth a watch, I do believe Hasbro should take some responsibility for their lack of willingness to distribute these to other location's than just North America , They should pay some consideration to the numbers of collectors that have bou...

Re: Discolored Vintage Star Wars Toy

Max Rebo does suffer from bad plastic degradation, I'm no expert as my one is ok from memory, but I seem to remember other treads on here about the state that this figures colour can get into, might be worth a search on here, seem to remember the legs and arms being much lighter than the body on bad...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 12, 2019, Part 2/2

Some really nice Bossk action here, especially love the Mexican bootleg and the battle damaged one (think we should have a close up of that head, Apack, horrific, ), I only have my childhood one and its card, eyes left ! think you can just see his cap2 in the background on patrol on Tatooine :) and...

Re: Star Wars Toys a rip off in UK

And why is the selection here so lame? It takes months, if not a year to get some of the figures that were supposed to be in the first or second wave. Maybe Hasbro just can’t be arsed with Star Wars anymore in the UK? Sorry if this is an old moan and has been covered before.[/quote] I think that I h...

Re: Buying in the 80's how we used to buy figures

Thanks for all the memories guys, I remember being mesmerized by all the wall of dioramas on all the boxes lined up in the toy shops back then, I think the magic was having the figures well placed around the ships / playsets in the photo's, I don't think you get that with the more modern toys, be it...

Re: Star Wars Dream again

Sounds like a cheese dream to me, had you been eating cheese before bed, :D I used to have a reoccurring dream where I bought a storage locker and under the usual rubbish was a vintage star wars collection, Palitoy Death Star playsets the lot, all for me, then you wake up and it time for work, anoth...

Re: Buying in the 80's how we used to buy figures

Thanks for all the wonderful stories guys , I remember before the market shop I was probably 10 around 1980 -81, I used to get some figures on my birthday at a toy shop called music and toys. I remember saving up for ages and amassed about £20 quite a bit back then. Off I went to the shop with my mu...

Re: Buying in the 80's how we used to buy figures

My pocket money was something like 20p a week in the late 70s / early 80s when the toys were on shop shelves. I'd ride my Raleigh Chopper down to the newsagent and that 20p would get me a can of drink, a Texan bar, or maybe a copy of 2000AD. I never had enough to actually buy toys myself. Pretty mu...

Buying in the 80's how we used to buy figures

I was just thinking the other day, am I alone in the type of place I used to buy figures between 1982 and 1984, I have mentioned this on other threads but never really heard of anyone who had a similar experience as me. Most of the hype of the films was over and I found that my local hardware / mark...

Re: The future of Vintage Star Wars collecting

I agree with all the above, when I was growing up and playing with toys in the late 70's early 80's we would think nothing of setting up huge dioramas in the garden with mud, boxes and old polystyrene nicked from the supermarket when mum was doing the shopping. Star wars , action man, mac men, micro...

Luke Bespin never really interested me much as a kid so I'm going to vote with my 11 year old head on :)

Re: Items you now regret selling?

I really regret at least once a month selling my white 1967 beetle in 1993, ~(had loads if vdubs since none come close) and my vintage action man collection about the same time but for star wars I sold some mint in box Jedi stuff at st / slave one and figs to a dealer about this time too that I pic...
