Re: Latest Acquisitions

Haven't posted for some time as life / work gets in the way and apart from the loft haul earlier in the year I haven't picked up anything, but a month ago I popped into our local comic / model shop and managed to get a really good condition y wing front end complete for £18 minus the pods and struts...

Re: Interesting news article about Elvis memorabilia

This is essentially my view as well. I think a peak for Vintage collecting will be reached at some point, as whilst Star Wars itself will remain popular for a very long time to come, the real draw of Vintage for most (but not all!) collectors of it is nostalgia from their childhoods. I owned the toy...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

@bosk70 that's a great haul- well done! Here's my latest. Palitoy 41A card and bubble. Made a footer from a crappy cardback, bought a decent loose, complete figure and resealed. Wasn't as straightforward as I was expecting due to the layers of litho lifting away from the cardboard on the left. Had ...

Re: Vintage Rebellion Episode 72 Launched

Fantastic podcast this month guys and my worlds really did collide with the interview as I'm a big 2000AD fan so it was great to hear Michael Carroll talk about his SW history. I heard him a week ago on the 2000AD podcast talking about his time in the comics industry so it was nice to see he also h...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Here's the reseal and a R2D2 card from Zodiac Toys as I know a member on here has an interest in the price tags from this toy shop, I was surprised by the crispness of the wicket ewok card as if the bubble just fell off when it was opened

Re: What are the 5 favourite items in your collection?

I was lucky to have my childhood toys as they were left in my parents loft so my top 5 relate to those childhood memories and items. No 1 would be the only picture I have from when I was a kid of my collection set up as a Hoth base probably about 1981 ish No 2 would be a poor x wing I painted to loo...

grab a bargain

Thought I would post a link to this in case anyone wants to grab a bargain, where's that time machine when you need one, if I was Garry Sparrow I would not be going back to 1942 more like 1977 :D https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STAR-WARS-VINTAGE-VINYL-CAPE-JAWA-12-BACK-CANADIAN-KENNER-CANADA-GDE-MOC-AFA-...
