Re: EP IX Trailer

Looks like a fan trailer made up of deleted TLJ/fan film scenes etc. Hoping against hope that TROS is a much needed return to form for the SW franchise. In a world where we have Trump as president and Boris the Bafoon looking like our next PM, a new SW film giving us some light hearted escapism is b...

Re: That Lightsaber

Hi Olly and welcome. Yeah, its definitely Lukes sabre....which Johnson casually tossed aside in a cheap, unfunny 'joke'. Cunt indeed. There was that godawful alternative opening to TFA, where Lukes severed hand is floating in space with the sabre from ESB. WTF was that all about? How is that even po...

Re: Episode 9...your personal feelings

I think it shows you the state of the franchise under Disney that fan, amateur and semi-professionally made films on Youtube are better than most of what Disney have made. Check out Vader: Shards of the past and Star Wars: Birth of a monster.  People boycotting a film that nobody has se...

Re: The Mandalorian Live Action TV Series

Way more excited about this than EpIX.

Early days, but from what what we've been shown this looks outstanding.
Dark, gritty and old school. Can't wait to see it.

Re: Rate TLJ out of ten

Admiral Ackbar voice actor Tom Kane giving exactly zero fucks in a Celebration interview.
Expressing what most sane fans think of Ackbar's death and Vice Admiral Purple Bell-End in TLJ.
You can see the colour drain from the interviewers face :D

Re: Episode 9...your personal feelings

I've definitely lost a lot of enthusiasm for the franchise since TLJ was excreted on to us. The OT will always hold a special place in my heart, but I have next to zero interest in how the ST pans out. It seems to be a clusterfuck all around. No planning of the trilogy is amateurish at best, a compl...

Re: Rate TLJ out of ten

Snaketibe, you've expressed my feelings towards TLJ, to a tee. 15 months down the line and my abhorrence for this so called SW movie and its round-headed fuck-knuckle of a director, has not diminished. I sincerely believe the mis-handling of the ST, will in the future, be a case study on how not to ...

Re: Episode 9...your personal feelings

I'll see it, if the word of mouth is good. Can't say I'm that enthused though, after the travesty of TLJ. Never thought I'd say that about a new SW movie. Fascinated to see how well this will do at the box office. Agree that it's a 'do or die' situation. Fuck this up and it's not looking good for th...

Re: CASSIAN ANDOR LIVE-ACTION SERIES ANNOUNCED

Well that came out of nowhere

Rogue One is my favourite release of the Disney era, so cautiously optimistic about this.
Hopefully K2SO will make an appearance.

Re: BBC Arena Cinema from 1978

Definitely a shot in the dark, but is there a copy of Michael Rodd's Screen Test from January '78 in existence?
AFAIK this is one of my earliest memories of seeing SW footage.

Re: BBC Arena Cinema from 1978

That was great, Declan. Thanks for uploading.

Great BTS footage and some vintage goodness.
MH, GK & JB still seemed enthusiastic, even though at his point, they must have been sick to death talking about the film.
Shame the presenter was a pompous killjoy. Dear oh dear.

I'm sure there's a joke here, about missing out on something big and hairy......but I'm buggered if I can think of it.

By the way, welcome to the forum :D
