Re: Childhood Toy shop

Yeah man, the Wickford and Rayleigh ones. But mostly the Rayleigh one, that’s where I grew up. If you ever see another one of those or anything from that shop do please grab it for me. I’ll buy it no question, thanks! :)

Re: Childhood Toy shop

Wow! Cheers for all the posts. I really find all this stuff fascinating and love hearing others stories about their toyshops etc. Those lucky enough to have examples really are fortunate, especially from one offs or small chainstores. SublevelStudios I know that feeling of the department store Mark....

Re: Childhood Toy shop

Andy, what a brilliant story! Shame he won't let any go- have you asked if he would let you have an individual sticker? Would love a price sticker from my favourite childhood toy shop- GW Hurley in Burnham-on -Sea. Used to go when we visited my Gran. Never, ever seen a price sticker, but you've giv...

Childhood Toy shop

I posted about this before in a couple of other threads: https://starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=34058&hilit=vintage+toyshops&start=15 It's the toy shop in my hometown in Essex I used to visit a lot and get most of my Star Wars toys from in the 80's, Peter Jones. I've been looking out for an...

Re: Limited Space Collections

I said to my girlfriend earlier “I’ve got too much stuff for one cabinet, I need to get another one”. She replied “Or you could stop buying more!”. I couldn’t think of an answer. This line has left my lips on numerous occasions... I still have one cabinet  I think I've had a similar resp...

Re: Limited Space Collections

Agreed, those MOCs and loose set look great in there. Don’t apologise mate, photos are fine. That’s what this is about, making the best of the space you have. It looks good, thanks for sharing.

Re: Limited Space Collections

There’s some great collections and displays on here. Love yours @Cazza , what a wall! Yeah @Stuart Skinner they are gaffi sticks (still not finished). And I’m sure I could knock up a quick bit of chat about my display, no worries. I’ll hit you up on FB or something and send it on messenger :)

Re: I see loose beaters are still selling for stupid amounts

Yeah a lot of the prices for loose figures generally are crazy but for beaters it makes no sense. It required a lot of patience and it was quite frustrating trying to finish my loose set. I still need a couple of accessories and they’re just not around for a decent price. I’m also after a Leia Bespi...

Re: Grab a random piece the tell the story

This is one of the two Stormtroopers I've got in my loose set, he is in very nice condition and he was found in the wild. I've been a charity shopper for a long time, prob since my teens going to local ones where I grew up in Essex hunting for records etc. I've found all sorts of amazing things in c...

Re: **NO SPOILERS** The Mandalorian Spolier Free Discussion

Well late to the party with this but we have acquired a disney login and I've started watching it, four episodes in. Absolutely loving it. Great to see some new Star Wars and as I expected the production quality is superb. I think they've done well. And I like the way they incorporated familiar thin...

Re: What are the 5 favourite items in your collection?

Some very cool and interesting items here, great thread. I’m cheating slightly.. but others have :P So in no order some of my favourites. 1. Boxed Palitoy Falcon. Bought early in my collecting, iconic and exact one I had as a kid. Love it. Not on display sadly at the moment. 2. Childhood X-Wing and ...
