Re: New retroline.......

I know what Hasbro are trying do, they're tugging at the heartstrings of vintage collectors like us because trust me, like Tarkin, they will make more unproduced figures from the original line. I just feel that although we love to talk and speculate about the figures they didn't produce, that's wher...

Re: New retroline.......

Reading through some of these posts it's just occurred to me that in classic Hasbro style they have completely done the wrong thing and missed a great opportunity. What they should have done is only produced the figures/characters that weren't in the Vintage line (as someone already mentioned) but ...

Re: Dose anyone remember a vintage figure shop in Coventry?

That's a great poster Scruffy, it was a great little shop, bought many figures from there. In actual fact it was from Goldie that I purchased my last ever vintage figure back in the day, a Luke Skywalker stormtrooper disguise for the obligatory £1.59. I remember seeing Amanaman and Yak face at the s...

Re: Dose anyone remember a vintage figure shop in Coventry?

Remember visiting it years ago was next to my late Aunts shop that sold ladies clothing etc. Was close to Woolworths. Wish I could remember the name. Guessing its not there anymore but had some fond memories. The ones I remember are Goldie toys (in Intershop in the Centre) & Zodiac Toys I'll ha...

Re: Dose anyone remember a vintage figure shop in Coventry?

Mate I've been racking my brains trying to remember what it was called, I've trawled the internet as well with no joy. I don't think the shop was running for too many years, I'd hazard a guess at 3 maybe 4 ? If I can find out the name of it I'll be sure to let you know, you're right though it was a ...

Re: Dose anyone remember a vintage figure shop in Coventry?

Hi StarWarsFan, what years do you think this would have been ? I remember the Woolworths (Walsgrave road, Ball Hill) but not the toy shop. I used to buy all my figures from shops in the town centre so never ventured up that way in the eighties but there was a shop that opened in Ball Hill in the mid...

Re: FREE Giveaway time! GW Acrylic - 10 years on SWF.uk

Some awesome pieces shown off on this thread. The acrylic really does make the difference, but we all knew that anyway. I can’t take any photos of what I have at the mo but here is a photo of some of my cherished collection taken a few years back. Unfortunately lots of this is now longer own and ar...

That's a cool looking article, thanks for taking the time to upload the pictures - if you'd consider selling the mag please let me know :D The magazine's yours mate, no charge, just PM me your address an...

Re: Modern wanted thread

I had a look through mine last night mate but I only have issues 5 onwards and it was not in any that I saw, so it will be in an issue 1-4 if that narrows it down a bit for you. Really appreciate you checking mate 8) No problem at all, is it just the advert you're after ? I only ask because I've go...

Re: Avoid this fucknugget

Sorry to see this Carl, hopefully you can get a full refund but that doesn't make up for the fact that you've bought something you wanted only to be let down by a tosser. Keep the faith mate.

Re: FREE Giveaway time! GW Acrylic - 10 years on SWF.uk

Great photos guys, and congratulations GW acrylics for 10 years superb service. Like many on here I couldn't just select one favourite and although my collection is fairly modest compared to others, l love them all the same. The acrylic cases add another dimension to the collector and can make a bea...
