Aston’s 26/3/19

Given there really wasn’t much in the way of vintage SW there today I’m not expecting a great response, but I’ll ask anyway: did anyone win anything there today who will be collecting from there in the next week?

Free display cabinets galore

For anyone with the space and a suitable vehicle to shift them, a charity is offering out a few hundred cabinets free of charge. Below is the only photo currently available. Dimensions are not known but it is believed these weigh in at a whopping 150kg each and are thought to be 1.8m high x 1.5m wid...

So this is classified as a 45B version?
And £600-£800 would be a reasonable expectation at auction, but with the chance it could go for more with the right bidders?

You've got it :)

Re: MOC Empire Strikes Back Palitoy Darth Vader

Wonderful :) Palitoy 45B card, which is why you don’t have the Palitoy logo. Vader is quite hard to find which is why one which will make an OK (and only) OK reseal just ended for £54 on eBay. Olisuds (edit - just seen your response now) here has done a bit of a guide on rarity of Palitoy 45Bs and h...

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2019 - Semi Final - Match 2

I am surprised to see Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues) looks like a winner  Me too. Always found him a bit beige. The Stormtrooper is a first 12 icon. He may be reduced to 4 POA but he's a great figures and the ultimate army builder. In true Stormtrooper style it looks like he's going to mis...

Re: Guidance Advised: 2,387 Vintage Figures Melted

Saw this yesterday. I'm still not clear what his point is? Whether it's humour, satire, attention seeking, revenue making, notoriety or plain trolling it's rather lost on me. Other than the obvious fact it's an incredible waste of figures that would be far better off used by kids for what they were ...

Biker Scout is the 43rd best figure and had no right reaching the quarter finals

Which is exactly what a North Korean sympathiser would say.

Or a Trump supporter. I reckon he's both.

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2019 - Semi Final - Match 1

Just no competition. I'm not much bitter than R2 kicked the Biker Scout, honest, but look at Yoda: great sculpt and no fewer than FOUR (count 'em) accessories! No other figure comes with more! R2? Comes with, erm, a clicking noise. Not something you heard R2 to in the movies. Pah.

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2019 - Quarter Final - Match 4

Defending Champion is eliminated in what is genuinely a shock result. I demand a recount. This is a BS result in more than one way. Agreed! This must be linked to the Russians. Definitely foul play going on here. And the North Koreans. I reckon they've turned Stu. Only explanation for this result.

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2019 - Quarter Final - Match 4

What's wrong with you lot? The Biker Scout is a poor mans Stormtrooper and the least cool Imperial Soldier. Let's be honest the Biker Scout is not exactly hard to get sreen accurate, he's a black and white spanner. The Imperial Gunner is even harder to get wrong.....but they managed spectacularly! ...

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2019 - Quarter Final - Match 4

Always gonna vote for the Biker Scout a far superior figure all round In probably every respect. The Biker Scout is one of the most screen accurate figures produced for the line. Any scientific backing up for that argument? F*** no, but he's that cool he doesn't need it. You space cadets and your l...
