Re: 10% off eBay today (14th June)

Not SW and posted unapologetically :D It was on auction ending in two days but without bids I asked him if he’d accept the start bid as a BIN and he did. My ebay purchase and a £7 saving. Cheers Edd. 58BDC29B-3D84-46D8-8122-A580B159F2F0.jpeg That’s a beauty! Still have my childhood one towing the h...

Re: strangely hard to find pieces

Try and find a mint loose Han Bespin with no hair rub - it drove me mad. It was the last figure I needed for my basic loose run and proved to be the most troublesome - yes an easy figure to find but there was always a rub on the fringe...always. And try finding a MINT boxed Palitoy Turret & Pro...

Re: strangely hard to find pieces

Exactly what Edd says. And never has that been more true than now. Things like the SW cards are now being bought and going into collections and staying there. Following the resurgence of interest in the franchise and collecting 5 years ago or so, more stuff came onto the market more regularly. Now i...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Well done on the Palitoy Powerdroid. If you found it hard to find then it must have been. Price you paid seems in line with previous sales, so the R5 was a nice little bonus. Cheers mate. I found it really hard to put a value on as I've only seen two sell over the years. The recent prices for two r...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Nice pair of Trilogos. Got a soft spot for the pig and you can’t ever go wrong with Han. I finally got myself a Palitoy PD. Only weeks earlier I had purchased a Kenner Jedi PD from Stu as I’d written off the possibility of finding one. Then up one popped with an R5 on eBay. The seller was a star. He...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Here's a silly sideline I've been trying to complete for some years and have finally done so: a set of five knock-off keyrings. Ages ago a poster, I think here, acquired an unused shop hanger full of them which was my guidance. The character choice suggests they're from the 70s. I remember psychade...

Re: The next FF.

I remember the first time you described FF to me on the phone, Dave. "Don't expect much. It's a small village hall with a dozen or so dealers. It's tiny". With those words ringing in my ears I checked out the ATCS website and found photos of the previous few events. I was transported back ...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

It’s been a while since I posted in this thread. My buying has really slowed down this last year. Mainly due to being even picked about price and item than ever. I have picked up some things of late thanks a couple of fellow forumites, but for now, here are my Echo Live pickups. I wasn’t expecting t...

Re: ROTJ 65 Palitoy Chewbacca MOC value?

I can't recall seeing any Toni's with yellow bubbles, but there could well be. Here you go, Edd. Full on discolouration on a TT bubble. I’ve long said “it’s got a yellow bubble, it’s not a TT” is not a reasonable test, nor even an indicator and think this nails that argument shut. Of note, like a T...
