Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 37, 2019, Part 2/2

The Rebel Transport was clearly a very popular toy back in the 80's, and Kenner were very smart to essentially make it into a carrying case for the figures. I seriously doubt they would have sold anywhere near as many otherwise since it wasn't exactly one of the more 'glamourous' vehicles from the f...

This one I only sold because I lacked the room to store it:

It is the only one that has escaped the black hole of my collecting closet. Like its movie counterpart escaping Hoth.

Very impressive examples!

Nice example, Andy. Like the ROTJ box.

Here's mine- missing the odd sticker, but otherwise complete.

Thanks fellas- very pleased with it. JabbaWookie - total bargain! Very nice indeed. Finding one with a clear bubble is pretty tricky though! Jeremy, how many loose figures do you own?! One or two... Excluding doubles, my current variant haul stands at 453, but some of those need upgrading.

I feel ashamed I haven't contributed to your threads, Lars, but I've been in a huge collecting dip. I'm back in the game however. Here are my Wampa's: Still missing the Hoth playpack and the Toltoys version. There's also the first issue Kenner version with the flap folded around the box, but not su...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 37, 2019, Part 1/2

Picked up my carded figure off of eBay for £40.04 including postage. The card has a few creases and the bubble has yellowed but it’s fully sealed and ding free. The Gamorrean Guard holds a bit of a special place in my heart as it’s one of my only real SW childhood memories. The GG was the only figur...

The good old Pig Guard, eh? This is a great figure of a terrific creature design from 'Return of the Jedi'. Personally, I think the characters / creatures Lucasfilm came up with for the film were brilliant, and IMHO were even better than those from the cantina scene in Star Wars (although to be fai...

Thank you, Jay. It looks like Edd has a fair few candidates to choose from already, however I am happy to throw my hat in the ring as well if even greater choice is wanted! :)
