Re: Star Wars Scalextric Prototype - Battle of Hoth Set items - never released

Never released , huh ? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Scalextric-Scale-Start-Star-Battle/dp/B00BCU6XVW That just look likes a piece of pre production artwork for something that was never released, no reviews of it, doesn't seem that it was ever available to buy, new or used, which is in line with what th...

Re: Star Wars Scalextric Prototype - Battle of Hoth Set items - never released

Looking at this i'm really surprised that Scalextric have never done much Star Wars, loads of possibilities, speeder bikes , pod racers etc. They did do a speeder bike version, which you can still get, but I don't think they were great sellers. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Scalextric-Start-C1288-Battle...

Re: This is getting ridiculous destruction.of.vintage.

That seller also has R2 bodies with repro stickers and the clicking mechanisms for sale, as well as periscopes, so it definitely looks like he's stripping R2's down, his line in one of his listings is "Restore your vintage star wars figures they deserve it!!." So you restore your vintage f...

This is the way I've always thought it was pronounced, although I have heard it pronounced as GAMOR-REEN as well.

Re: Loose figures and accessories

There's a couple of weapons that are not from Star Wars figures, two M60 style machine guns, bottom right and left just above the belt, not sure what they may be from. I think the value of the figures could be very dependent on whether you can get any of the pen marks off, the R2 looks nice and whit...

Re: What snake color do I need on this Yoda please?

Looks like it is a Meccano or Power of the Force no COO Yoda, so as has been said definitely a brown snake, both of those types of Yoda came with a unique 'rubbery' cane, which if you were looking to complete it correctly may be tricky to find on its own. Here's a link that I've found useful in the ...

I think it came from a a senior crew member who was given it after filming had completed and he had had it ever since, kept up in the loft. :)

Re: Antiques roadshow

There was one on the Antiques Roadshow back in 2014, valued at £50,000 back then, is it the same one?

Thought the same, maybe as it was a foreign currency transaction the entire payment had to come from one source using one exchange rate, rather than being split between a PayPal balance and a bank account?

Re: Five PBP Poch Action Figures from my far childhood!

Amazing set of Poch cardbacks and figures, love the rear of those Poch cardbacks showing the figures displayed like that, pity you had to sell them if they were childhood figures, would have liked to known how you came by Poch figures as a child.
