Re: Antiques roadshow

What was the provenance of it like, do you think it would really have quadrupled in value since 2014 (sorry about the investor questions)?

Re: Dengar Release Order?

Sounds like an in depth question which I have no idea of the answer too, but out of curiosity how do you work out the chronological order of variations or don't you collect them? I have been known to collect a variant or two in my time! :-D But to be serious, yes I collect figure variants, but I di...

Re: Grading and shill bidding issues that have come up

There are inconsistencies in grading and there always will be as one grader might attach a higher weighting to a specific flaw and grade it lower as a result e.g. Litho Tear or a Cracked Bubble and at the end of the day it is someone's opinion. The graders themselves are also evolving as time goes b...

Re: Palitoy 12 back and 20 back set question

That's definitely lower than I was thinking. Even if you double it for luck. Hopefully I will eventually complete mine - as I was warned by the wife not to start it if I didn't want to pay the prices for the harder cards. Wish u best of luck wreck -it -ralph on your intentions. Be one hell of an ac...

Re: BBC Star Wars Collecting Article Today

I think the writer of the article was confusing modern with vintage. It was my first time using the Hansons Auction and I must say it was a lot better than Vectis. Although my enjoyment could of been the fact I actually bought something :D The last time I used Vectis I could log in but not bid quit...

Re: Palitoy 12 back and 20 back set question

Out of interest, how many of your set is on a certain card back ? And out of preference didyou go for an A over a B or C ? Or was it more the condition of what was available? As originally I had hoped to get as many A cards as I could, and B where I had to. But my jawa from years ago turned out to ...

Re: Palitoy 12 back and 20 back set question

Not very many, but of course not everyone likes grading or has their figures graded, so there could easily be some examples out there which would grade at 85 or higher, but which remain as free of perspex as the day they were made. Instead they are kept in Plastic Star Cases which makes all the dif...

Re: Palitoy 12 back and 20 back set question

I wonder how many 85 sets there are out there? Out of interest, how many of your set is on a certain card back ? And out of preference didyou go for an A over a B or C ? Re: BBC Star Wars Collecting Article Today

It's an interesting article and not overly negative or positive ike most of them. I think there will be a price correction soon, good news for the people with stuff left to buy bad news for the people with complete sets, but seems as there are no investors on this site value is irrelevant!
