Re: Latest Acquisitions
I went down the Kenner route. More affordable and readily available. Which was your rarest piece and your favourite piece? I owned a POTF Nikto for about a year, that piece was a beauty. My favourite piece, I had 3: A ROTJ Power Droid, I loved the artwork on the carback. Tri Logo Luke Stromtrooper,...

Re: Latest Acquisitions
Carded and loose. I was aiming to collect every figure on every cardback. I got up to 110 carded I think it was and a nearly complete loose run. Had some real beauties in the carded collection as well. Some have gone to guys on here. Also had a Yoda side focus which I've still got some of it left. ...

Re: Latest Acquisitions
5 years so far. I still buy SW books as I collect them so I suppose I'm not totally out of the collecting game. :) What did you previously collect before selling up? Carded and loose. I was aiming to collect every figure on every cardback. I got up to 110 carded I think it was and a nearly complete...

Re: Latest Acquisitions
I suspect it will at some point, this is the 4th time I've sold up and lost the bug, so far this is the longest stint. How long has it been? 5 years so far. I still buy SW books as I collect them so I suppose I'm not totally out of the collecting game. :) What did you previously collect before sell...

Re: Do you think we are currently in a bubble?
Yes, it's a bubble. Will it pop? Maybe a little - I think it will likely just stop increasing for a decade. But I picked up most of my MOC collection over the last 2 years, and some of it has added 30% already. For me MOC’s are different as the majority of my collection probably around 90% of it wa...

Re: Do you think we are currently in a bubble?
I have just joined a Comic Book Forum and they were discussing the rapid increase in prices in Silver Age Comics and one of the members suggested a sell off of Bitcoin and those investors putting their money into their passions which could be what is causing unpredictable gains in prices in Comics a...

Re: Latest Acquisitions
Wow, a real beaut there @Grant_C I miss my carded collection and seeing a card like that does twinge a small amount of regret but I had to do what I needed at the time. Still not got the bug back. 😒 Not sure if you ever lose the regret or the bug, I stopped collecting for 13 years and it still came...

Re: Do you think we are currently in a bubble?
I think there is a lot of speculation going on in the loose market which is driving prices up, this could continue even after the Pandemic ends as speculation will only stop when prices start to drop which does not look like it is going to happen soon. Comics are rising rapidly and people are talkin...

Re: Do you think we are currently in a bubble?
I think it is important to remember that lots of people are not thinking straight at the moment due to the mental strain caused by the Pandemic, even if you have not been affected financially by the Pandemic most people have had their everyday life turned upside down with home schooling, long period...

Re: Do you think we are currently in a bubble?
I think there is a chance there could be a price correction in the future as most working people and even some of those that have been furloughed are in a position where they have more disposable income, I would imagine if things normalise and people are able to go on holiday or go to restaraunts th...

Re: Vectis today- 9/3/21
The good news is it is nothing like comics where the grade has a huge significance on the price, grade is everything in comics! Yeah it's the same with video games, collectors only seem interested in high grade and/or mint condition, sealed games with rips or creases etc are relatively worthless. I...
