Re: Latest Acquisitions

Some great items on here lately!

I’ve received this store display poster today, it’s been on my wish list for ages and I’m delighted to have it in hand. Jabba the Hutt Peach Melba anyone?

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Wow Grant, love the cast & crew Yoda stickers! Here’s a couple of bits I’ve picked up recently - carded Palitoy die-cast Darth Vader TIE Fighter (battered card but still sealed), Palitoy mailer box PDT-8, and a Waddingtons catalogue featuring the Jedi jigsaws. Re: Childhood Toy shop

GW Hurley is still going strong in Burnham, I’ve been in numerous times with my kids buying toys. The places I recall buying Star Wars are a small department store in Teignmouth (South Devon) where we were living, Tesco in Newton Abbot, and Exeter Pram & Toy Shop. I’d love to find anything with an E...

Re: Starfire UK Ltd flashing eyes badge RotJ

I’d say £30 to £40 in that condition - but they don’t come up often and someone who really wants it may be prepared to pay more.

Cheers, Andy

Re: Latest Acquisitions

I’ve just received this Airfix promotional store display poster for the Star Wars competition, shown here with the accompanying comic advert, and the flyer (front and back both shown) that would have been given out in toy shops. It’s a rare British display item and I’m really pleased to have it in m...

Re: What are the 5 favourite items in your collection?

Just looked at your story album in more detail. The photos are ace. You looked like you had so much fun putting that together. Love to see more of that in detail in a dedicated post if you ever get the time Andy. Cheers mate, yes it took up many happy days in the garden! The whole album is hosted h...

Re: What are the 5 favourite items in your collection?

Great idea for a thread! So difficult to choose 5, but these are some personal highlights. In no particular order... Palitoy Death Star. I just loved this as a kid, and it's still my favourite item in the action figure line. 2019-08-26 15.38.25.jpg Topps UK trading card boxes. I collected these card...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Mark, that's a stunning discovery - great to see that these finds are still out there! Congratulations mate. This is my favourite find for a while, a bootleg Space Battle Target Game with obvious Star Wars influences. The box was really battered when I got it and I've had to do some restoration, but...

Re: Generation Skywalker

Listened to the introductory episode today, great to hear you all on the airwaves again.

I like the sound of the new venture, something a bit different to whats out there at present. Best of luck with it and I'm looking forward to listening!

That's a shame, Andy. I don't suppose you had an early bird pass did you? Nick Shear is after one.
Thanks, I have been in touch with Nick and he's decided not to go this time. I don't think the passes are transferable in any case.

Cheers, Andy
