Re: Farthest From XXI Sunday 1st of December

FF was fantastic as always! I picked up some great items, and there was lots of amazing vintage goodies for sale. Lovely to see Dave’s Palitoy store display, and the talk on retro gaming was really good. As others have said though, the highlight is always the chance to catch up with good friends and...

Re: Propstore Auction - 26th Nov

Hi, is anyone at the Propstore auction, who could pick up an item (maybe a couple depending on what I might win tomorrow!) and bring it to Farthest From, please?

Thanks in anticipation!

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Just received this, best thing I’ve picked up in a long time! It’s the vintage plush Chewbacca, in great condition, and the bandolier is still attached with the plastic tag. I’m surprised how big it is, must be 2 feet tall. This one came from a guy in the UK, so although it has a Kenner label, it mu...

This turned up today; it’s amazing how happy a tatty old box makes me! Trebor cherry chew box from 1977.
Love this Lom, congratulations! A real rarity. Love these old SW boxes. I didn’t miss the bubblegum box behind as well!

Re: Forum update

I’ll add my thanks Edd for all the work you put in behind the scenes to keep this place running. It’s still home, just got the decorators in at the moment, looking forward to seeing the new paintwork when you’re finished!

Re: Were they rare

The Imperial Troop Transporter was definitely available in the ESB era. Like the Darth Vader TIE Fighter and Snowspeeder, it was re-released by Palitoy in 1982 in a different box (the difference being the addition of the Bounty Hunter logos on the packaging). These box variations are reasonably comm...

Re: Were they rare

It's worth mentioning that some of the toys were not released in the UK (other than the odd few that may have been imported), only in America and some other territories. Items like the Dewback and Sandcrawler, the electronic X-wing, the Kenner variants of the 3 Star Wars playsets, the Tatooine Skiff...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

It’s been a Topps week for my collection! Managed to pick up not only a good upgrade for my British 1st series store display box, but also the elusive 2nd series box, which I’ve been after for years. That one needed a bit of fixing up, but it’s come out very well. Really pleased to have one at last....

Love the stickered boxes Alisdair, the Menzies box is in great condition, and I've never seen the mini-rigs sticker before. Great finds!

Re: Vintage Star Wars collecting where are we at ?

I loved the original trilogy as a kid, I was born in 70 so just the right age for them. I have fantastic memories of buying, collecting and playing with the toys, and having other items including Letraset, Helix, Deeko, Fascal stickers, Topps trading cards, Vymura wallpaper, FKS and Panini stickers,...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 64 LAUNCHED

Enjoyed listening this month - I never enjoy hearing the sound of my own voice but hope I came over OK! Great to listen to the bits that weren't covered when we recorded, the interview with Ben Sheehan was great, and particularly the main interview with Alistair, he's got an amazing collection and m...
