Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 62 LAUNCHED

I really enjoyed this episode, some great banter and all the sections were excellent. The main interview was really good, Richard and Ben are great guys and top sellers, and it was good to learn a bit more about them and their collecting journeys. The X-Wing feature was a good round up, I never knew...

Re: New retroline.......

With the issue of the paper in the bubble, I’m tempted to get a US import instead. However, they have a ‘Choking Hazard’ warning in the top right corner, which partly obstructs the Luke & Leia graphic. The European card doesn’t have this, and looks much better in that respect. Does anyone know w...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

NFS. I just received this beauty in the post today, it’s a British pyjama top, with some stunning artwork. There’s no label or trademark info other than a TM below the Star Wars logo, but it’s likely that it was made for Marks & Spencer.

Re: Forum Playset of the Year 2019 - Final

Palitoy Death Star every time for me! Simply the best toy in the action figure line, ever. The design is just perfect, from the assembly, the layout, the graphics, and how the rooms interconnect logically with one another. I loved mine as a kid, and still do :D

Cazza, fantastic find! A Palitoy 12 back large head Han is a real rarity in any condition, and that one's cleaned up a treat. Congratulations!

Re: Forum Playset of the Year 2019 - Semi final - Match 2

The Kenner Death Star is a good toy, but the Palitoy Death Star is a great toy. Quite simply a masterclass in how to make a brilliant playset, packed with fun and play features, with the most basic of materials; cardboard! Simple and economic to manufacture, easy and fun to assemble, superb fun to ...

Re: Something positive... Pinewood Studio Tour - Raffle for Charity

Cheers Max, what a generous offer. That’s one of the things I love about the hobby - so many people are so generous to others, whether it’s helping to find those sought after pieces for a collection, offering bargains or even giving away items to friends, helping with charity fundraising, or giving ...

Only a fellow collector will understand that feeling! Sorry you didn't get it though, it would have been great in your collection.

Re: Latest Acquisitions

I double-checked that picture and Artoo is definitely part of a set of five, although the two examples there were gold as opposed to silver but otherwise look the very same. He's lightweight plastic like the others. Thank you! I haven’t got the pic so was going by memory - not very reliable at the ...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Love the keyrings Chipsteak, pure tacky 70s goodness!

I'm interested to know whether the R2 is part of this set? I recall the picture of the carded keyrings that you've mentioned, and I thought it was just the 4 other characters. Is R2 plastic like the others, or metal, please?

Re: The next FF.

I really hope Dave keeps FF going and this isn't the last one. Is there any reason to think this might have been the last one? This weekend was always going to be low on numbers, coming so soon after Echo Live and Celebration. But FF is the best vintage-only show in the UK, I'm sure that the next o...
