Where did you see these?

All the U.K. ones I have seen are pre-order for August (Forbidden planet even says September 12th, maybe they know something no-one else does?).

Re: Vintage to Modern figures.

They’re all shite!!! But there’s always someone who’s into anything. Just because you/I/we don’t like them, to some people they’re what they collect and they do so with the same enthusiasm we collect a vintage moc. I don’t get it but it’s each to their own. As for Ep 1 figures, I like them. Much mo...

Re: New retroline.......

Apparently the U.K. stock is going to be from a different production run (heads up variant collectors!) and its uncertain whether they will have the safety sheets at this time. Probably worth holding off cancelling pre orders until we see what they look like. That is good to know. I thought about c...

Re: Vintage to Modern figures.

People buy them up hoping they will be worth something later, some are limited releases so they think they can ask whatever they like for them once they have gone out of regular circulation. People are already trying to scalp on eBay with the new retro-line figures. Unfortunately there are some peop...

Re: New retroline.......

Perhaps it’s something Hasbro doesn’t have a choice about if it’s a legal requirement over here. Having seen the imported ones in hand I actually didn’t mind the sticker. It’s nicer than it appears in photos, and personally I don’t think I’d attempt to remove it. The ageing affect on the card isn’t...

Re: New retroline.......

Well that sucks. What the hell is a safety sheet? Some sort of inane EU regulation no doubt! Will cancel my preorder and import. It's weird. Almost like Hasbro don't know who to aim these at in our market, surely they must know that collectors don't want that monstrosity behind the figure?. If they...

Re: New retroline.......

Just found some more info which shows an image of the European versions. I believe the image came from Germany. Does anyone know if the U.K. versions will be like this? because I think I may cancel my pre-order if they are. I am not keen on the retro-sticker, but I can live with it because I like th...

Re: RIP Peter Mayhew!

Oh that is sad news. Always seemed like such a down to earth and friendly chap when you saw him interviewed. I also understand that he had a lot of time for the fans too. Leaves behind the legacy of being one half of the greatest "scoundrel" duo of all time, ain't no partnership better tha...

Re: New retroline.......

Has anyone received these as yet ? I have an order with Star Action Figures, but it’s looking like they have kicked them back from a May delivery to a July delivery - which is quite frustrating. The first 6 have not released in the USA yet, I think they come out there in the next week or two, and p...

Re: EP IX Trailer

Meh... I have fallen out with Star Wars films in a big way (apart from the OT) and this trailer did not excite me one bit. They probably only brought Lando back because they now have a huge gaping hole where all the original heroes once stood. After the complete mess that was TLJ, I don't think I wi...

My thoughts exactly!

I hope they do a full run of these, they will be a fun and relatively inexpensive way of acquiring MOC's.

Particularly for those of us who missed the boat when the originals were still somewhat affordable.

Leia for me!

I don't know why, but I cannot stand the DSC figure. I think it is the helmet!

When my wife saw him in my first 12 she said "who the hell is that? they should have had Greedo in his place". I think I agree!

Re: Hell has frozen over

Things have definitely slowed down in the past month or two. Not many sales going on in the forums, and the pickings on ebay ain't that good either. I have been keeping my eye out for a few of Jabba's goons etc (the cheap end of the market) and there are not even too many of them to go at. Usually y...

Re: Vinyl Cape Repair Guide

Fantastic guide this.

My Hoth Stormtrooper skirt was very much shaped to the figure it was on, and the slits were all out of alignment and folded over.

After using this guide it is nicely flattened out, much cleaner, and the slits are nicely aligned. It almost looks like new!
