Re: Latest Acquisitions

Lovely Leia run there Bruce, something special about that cardfront. I can't remember just how long it's been since I posted an aquisition on here, it's really dried up big time on baggies, but I managed to get in with some buddies on the last Astons auction & get a little slice of this action ...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Great pick ups all! Just had this bargain delivered, well a £120 eBay bargain! Had one in the past and sold for £85 on here I think so glad to get it back! Signed and unoriginal mailer box, don’t think it’s ever been read!! Are they all signed? Great pick up and price, especially with it being so m...

Re: The most in-depth guide to the original Kenner Star Wars Action Figures

The kickstarter for this project is now live here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/readfivedesigns/star-wars-toy-guide-vol-1-kenner-action-figures-1977-1985 I must say, this project looks terrific and so I have just backed it. As you might expect from a Kickstarter project, there are various l...

Re: Surprised by Astons

I see it's made the news: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-54842558 Wait, they were left this house by their neighbour?! Then they were just going to bin them all but thankfully thought better of it. That's one incredible story although I'm not sure if I read it right but did they g...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 44, 2020

Another amazing post Jeremy and I must admit that this might actually be my favourite figure from the whole line. I just love the card art as well and have a few Palitoy reseals as well as a sealed Kenner 12 back. I don't have the hollow tubes but do have a few loose with various shades of brown and...

Re: Re the Baggie guide

Really good to hear from you again frank and that's some fantastic news about the guide you've worked so hard on over the years. Try not to let things get you down and keeping move forward with you're hobby, enough damage was done but I'm hoping this won't spoil it for you forever.

Re: Surprised by Astons

Well it's a fun listen but I am surprised at the 30 back DSC lot going for £25K plus fees, that's some VCJ price right there (I know it's rarer but I wonder if it's as desirable). Ian It wasn’t just that that caused the 25K bid mate, there was a 30 back IG-88 in there too :!: The combo of the two c...

Good question. Just checked and it's dropped by around 15%.
Well I'm still enjoying each episode :D

Re: Surprised by Astons

Exactly Ian. The way things are going with lockdowns we could bid on Thursday and be stopped travelling on weekend. It would be awful to not be able to collect something bought. And really all auction houses should offer in house posting at the moment . We in Wales are really having a crap time at ...

Re: Surprised by Astons

Out of interest (as I'm a little confused about delivery for anything won from the auction lol), do you have to contact one of the 3 delivery companies they've mentioned to arrange them to pack and pick up your items? I'm guessing they've dealt with these delivery companies before so they will know...

Re: Vintage palitoy death star, transporter and falcon

Looking at your Death Star I think it may well go for a little less than mentioned above as this one sold recently for around £640 shipped, which was in better shape than yours (including the box) - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Palitoy-Star-Wars-Death-Star-Play-Centre-1977-Complete-in-Original-Box-Use...
